Came apprehensively on here.. this is his grandpa's raag , cheez and mood and Rahul ji here is not the 2024 version. He chose to sing it then tells alot about his confidence. Its hard to forget his grandpa's version and tough to not compare..

His performance is brilliant. Those questioning his performance should give a deeper dive in the history of Indian Classical Music. Maarwa was a chanchal raga originally. It was Late Ustad Amir Khan who have this Raga a serious feeling with his great meditative voice and imagination. This doesn't mean people singing the older version of the Raga are Wrong !

Most wonderful rendition of Marwa. It is not the audience but the ignorance of the Producers that they inject the canned, pre-recorded clapping at the most inappropriate time. What a shame? Who will educate the Producers?
It is surprising for a crowd in Pune to be so inconsiderate to the artist with their repeated inappropriate applauses. It is absolutely intolerable. May be someone ought to consider informing the audience about not interrupting an otherwise lovely presentation. This is best done while informing the audience about the cell phones and the like.
+Prasadrao Koduri looks like the crowd applause has no relation to the actual performance but someone has edited the video to superimpose the applause (may be taking it from the end or somewhere in the significant section)... how stupid of whoever did that. I completely agree that sudden and unwanted sound of claps completely unrelated to the actual performance is very disturbing.
What an amazing redering of Raga Marawa !!! Effortless command on indian vocal classical music. Little issue is, Raga Marawa has evening parting off mood. The wording of bandish doesn't match with Marawa mood.
Handing out a "Stahe bill" as is the case with Western Music performances, will help introduce the artists, the music (raga etc) to be performed and advise regarding general concert etiquette to those who are uninitiated. The audience here is quite disruptive and appears ignorant of the basics. Please no applause between the lines. Thank you.

Sirf taane murkiyan khatke or gamak or tayyari dikhana hi classical music he kya.... Sukun to he hi nahin.... Bilkul bhi... Ap marwa Ustad Amir khan sahab ka suniye... Asli marwa kya he tab pta chalega apko...
