I personally think that filming lobbies of the Post Office, SSA, and other types of places that citizens are trying to handle their business is nothing but performance art by auditors. I mean you are “auditing” the lowest level of government workers. The clerks that are just helping people. They have no power other than helping people handle their business. It is laughable when one calls the person working the front desk at the post office a “tyrant”. I don’t think that the lady making $18 an hour to take your money who is probably a single mother just trying to support her kids is the problem with our Government….

Hey Micheal, doesn't the government have the power to control its property? While we are in the post office proper, isn't there a legitimate government interest to have secure transactions?
How can your have secure transactions with this clown show and their zoom lens in the business area of a office office? It seems inconsistent to me and it would not be allowed at any private business.
It would need to be a reasonable time place and manner restriction.

@@MichaelEhline No, 39 CFR 232.1 implies a post office is a non-public forum. You can record but, we the post office, sets the rules where you can record and when. One of those places you can't record is the business area, where the government has a legitimate interest in secure transactions.
Then, there is US v Kokinda, which suggests the entire property is a non-public forum using Spock as its basis. Yes, I know both Ft. Dix at time and the case.
