“It’s not that + ADJ” in Korean : 그렇게 ~지는 않다

= 그렇게 A.S/V.S~지는 않다
그렇게 like that, that much
~지 않다 to not~ [long negation]
-는 topic particle “as for…”
Literally, “as for that much, it’s not…”
👩🏻🏫 CONJUGATION:
Change the dictionary ending ~다 to ~지
👩🏻🏫 EXAMPLES:
덥다 to be hot:
그렇게 덥지는 않아요. (It’s not that hot.)
재미있다 to be fun:
그렇게 재미있지는 않아요. (It’s not that fun.)
잘하다 to be good at:
그렇게 잘하지는 않아요. (is not that good at…)

저는 "별로"를 자주 상영하니까 이 문형 그렇게 익숙하지는 않아요
이제 익숙해졌죠? 😊 별로랑 그렇게 쓸 때 의미가 조금 달라요! ㅎㅎㅎ
"별로 안 좋아해요"는 안 좋아한다는 뜻이지만 "그렇게 좋아하지는 않아요"는 좋아하는 거예요. 근데 많이 좋아하는 건 아니에요.

Hello teacher. I have a question. What are difference between 아니다 과 않다.
아니다: to not be = am not, are not, is not
Verb stem~지 않다: do/does not + Verb (used to negate adjectives and verbs)
Can we say this without 는 particle ? How is it commonly said ? Without or with the particle
For this particular phrase, -는 is important to point ["as for" THAT MUCH, not.] - so use with 는!
