    Could not figure the reasoning for covering these ingots in white power and let set for 10 days?

      I believe it’s part of their annealing process of the steel.

      @@mark109sindeed, most likely to isolate the steel from the oxygen in the air, but I don't know what it is.

    Don't you hate getting those metal filings in your shorts? I know I do. And by. the way that white powder is Martha White Lilly self rising flour. It makes the finished product taste better.

      Its the conditions to which they are used and only know! They would probably think the same if they saw your standards.😀

      Its an undevelopped country!!! If you look for US or German standards, exist lot of pages of workshops on RUclips

    The annealing Increases machinability, then the piece is quenched to restore its initial hardness.

      And Why 10 Days?

    • @rockerpat1085
      @rockerpat1085 Месяц назад +4

      After Thinking About It I've Come To The Conclusion That The Process Is To Take The Hardness Out Of The Steel!!! Bet Those Are Ship Propeller Shaft Pieces That Are Most Definitely Heat Treated Hardness!!! So The Steel Has To Be Annealed So It Can Be Machined!!!

      @@rockerpat1085 That makes sense to anneal something like that. Didn't think it would stay hot in something like sand for 10 days. Has to be some other material they are using to allow the metal to cool over that long of a time.
