Hi, Yes, you can create a Shared Parameter to control the quantity and just reinforce 1 item of each type. As long as the parameter is shared you can expose it in the schedule
Very nice tutorial you have there. Thanks for the video. What rebar tag family have you used - just showing the bar mark? Is this a customize rebar tag? Thanks for the reply.
There is a lot to learn with RC Detailing in Revit. Not sure where you are based but the best idea is to get some professional training which will help you get up to speed with all these topics.
really nice tutorial ... can you explain where did you find the Rebar Layer parameter in the Rebar Sets? Did you create it? Does it work for any concrete element (slab, stairs, beams) or just for foundations? It would be really useful to me for creating rebar filters, like show only top reinforcement, only bottom reinforcement, etc.
Nice video, thank you. One question related to number of elements: let's say I have in a project 10 Pads F01, but I want to detail only one and add a parameter for number of elements. Is there a way to achieve this? I tried using a shared parameter attached to the element (host) but I cannot bring the parameter into schedule.
Sir I have a question that the double headed arrow section is customise section or family loaded section??? if its sir family loaded then where it in Revit 2022 is??
Hi Akbar, you can just reinforce a single element of each type and then multiply this in the schedule. For example, if you have 10 foundations with identical geometry then you only need reinforce one of these.
@@jogendrasingh.narwariya So, you select the rebar, in the properties palette click View Visibility States. In the View Visibility States dialog, click view as solid for the 3D views.
During the part where You/He is adding in the Bar layer within the properties under Rebar Set it seems he has the rebar layer option he can change. I dont have this in my Revit. Any ideas?
Hi Lawrence, I've just had a look and it seems the issues still remain? For instance the C dimension on a shape code 67 is fixed and the shape code 15 reports a D dimension which isn't required in schedules. Any ideas how to overcome this?
It's possible in revit plane (blueprint), take off rebar from the host (example a beam) annotate on rebar all the measurements without affect the 3D drawings. If it's possible show me how can do it. I'm from Valencia - Venezuela
Hi Joaquin, this is possible with the standard MRA tool or, if you would like more detail then Dynamo can add dimensions between each rebar element. Hope this is clear?
very helpful
too much benefits and details in short video like this
please we encouraging you to continue

Can I buy your template
Always great stuff from you. You are practical in your approach.. Have also done and uploaded modelling and detailing of pad foundations and beams..
Great work, you are a natural in explaining the details. Let's have more!
realy helpfull...an expert in term of teaching and working...5 start

Glad you enjoyed it! The rebar tag is a custom tag. It is set to read the rebar number.
thanx brother.......can you uploadmore videos of detailing and bar bending schedule
thank so much sr I couldn't ever been gone through on youtube you 're thoughtful brig more tutorial on RCC MEMBER
I also like the way you have organize your interface. Can you do a tutorial on that too.

I created a shared parameter to control the rebar layer. This will work for any element that can host rebar

thanks for the good work Bro. but i need help, can you please i can get all this reinforcement in my revit am new to the software.Thank you
Nice bro, but can you explain more about Rebar Layer in Rebar set ? It doesn’t have in my modeling.
It's a custom field. Use Partitions instead - not as good but will do the job.
Please is there any way we can get a link to the revit rebar family?
I would appreciate
hi . thanks your video .
How to creat image in schedule rebar .
Sir I have a question that the double headed arrow section is customise section or family loaded section??? if its sir family loaded then where it in Revit 2022 is??
This is a standard section in the Revit UK structural template. However, you can easily create the arrow and add this to your section system family.
Great video, i wan to know does it necessery reinforce all structures on building on revit architecture?
Hi Akbar, you can just reinforce a single element of each type and then multiply this in the schedule. For example, if you have 10 foundations with identical geometry then you only need reinforce one of these.
That great ! I hope to see more video..... :D
thanks for your work. I cannot dowload reinforcement elements. What I am doing wrong? What should I do? cheers
Check templates, probably you need to be on a structural template
I m using 2018 version when I use visibility / graphic check 3D option but it not work, if you have any solution please guide.
The detail level must be set to fine in the view.
@@RevitStructureBlog how we set it, is there any video on your channel ?

This is s shared parameter added for the purpose of rebar layering
you would help me activating the "rebar shapes" bar????
Hi Lawrence, Have you overcome the issues that are presented with the shape codes that are incorrect in revit? ie shape codes 67 or 15?
Hi Jake, I believe the issues have been addressed by Autodesk in Revit 2019

Would you mind sharing your revit file to us for reference??
Very helpful video!
Fantastic video, thanks
How to activate the section of the rebar layer in property?
Hi Manuel, This is done with a Shared Parameter.
Thanks! Can you explane me the procedure?
Briefly you need to click Manage tab, create shared parameter for RC Layer and use this for all the rebar categories.
@@RevitStructureBlog then we apply filters ?
Hey can you pls tell me where i can get this 1 day course. I did not quite get ehat you said in the end .
Thanks
Where are you based? We run the course all over the UK but can travel overseas as well
Can you please send us a link of rebar
