Another marvelous recital! Thank you Joseph and Luke! As a Lutheran and former organist for Lutheran churches I especially appreciated the Dale Wood piece with those heavenly flute celestes.
My maiden name is Cornwall so anything on my iPhone that introduces the Tabernacle Choir it Organ ALWAYS catches my attention. When RUclips announced a Wednesday recording of the organ concert on Temple Square , I was immediately there on my phone. It was ALL I hoped for! Thank you
So, I take it you're re related to J. Spencer Cornwall, former director of TAB If so, how fortunate. I met him several times, when I was just a little boy. I remember when he retired and Richard Condie took the helm. I didn't think Richard was a very good conductor, because he didn't use a baton. This organ series has been a great inspiration to me during this tragic time. Wish it had been thought of years ago
An outstanding recital in an outstanding series. As always, Prof. Howard's commentary is invaluable. I really appreciated the Guilmant...I never realized that piece was so good!
The prelude & fugue in G minor was actually the first organ piece I played my organ teacher taught the prelude first and then the fugue. I can now could almost memorize the in the back of of my head. Love it.

I loved the Guilmant piece at the end! I've never heard the entire piece played in the Tabernacle before, but that was awesome!
