Feeling so appreciative of Dr. Brian's inclusion of the Tournemire improvisation. It's a work that is far beyond my comprehension in construction, tonality and bravura, but so are the crucifixion and resurrection of The Christ, although I believe in them without reservation. Alleluia! ALL IS WELL.
WOW! The first piece was WONDERFUL! Thank you for this weekly concert. This is in every way comparable to Music Ad The Spoken Word. I truly enjoy both the organ and the very enriching commentary. Thank you, thank you for this fantastic concert. Please keep it coming!
Congratulations on reaching the 100th milestone of this wonderful series...and thanks! The Widor Toccata is so often performed that in lesser hands, it can sound hackneyed. I recall hearing Alexander Schreiner play it on a Tabernacle Choir broadcast some 60 years ago, and then, as now, the combination of music, organ and performer made for an unforgettable listening experience.
Thank you Brian ! FABULOUS !!!! My Widor - OH...Have been waiting for this !!!! You SO ' do not disappoint ' as they say !!! PERFECT TEMPO - This piece is NOT a who can play it faster - as Widor oft remarked on. YOU Captured ALL the grandeur , Brian ! MARVELOUS, THRILLING !!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU ! and on your 100th episode - SO APROPOS !!!!!! and, Always, Thank you, Luke . Now to hear this piece again !!!!!! marcia

The Salt Lake Mormon Tabernacle Choir with Alexander Schreiner at the organ....
Well...before I tripped over the "SEND" command, I meant to say "unforgettable listening experience."
