    I have the YEV-104 and the THR10. Match made in heaven. Couldn't be more pleased. The YEV is destined to be a ground breaking classic. Yamaha got it right.

    Hi, It's very nice instrument, I'm wonder that is possible to create Yamaha YEV-104 Series with phantom fret just as violin of Mark Wood - Viper?

    This is phenomenal. Is there any way you could post a video showing us how you use that pedal to do that?

      Hi there,
      Unfortunately there is nothing scheduled at this current point in time, but it is definitely something that we will consider!

    Absolutely amazing sound, thank you. The instrument looks stunning.
    Quick question, what is the name of the looper pedal and amp that you are using with this? (bit of a novice sorry!).

    • @gear4musicguitars
      @gear4musicguitars  8 лет назад +11

      Hi Tom Evans,
      Thanks for the message. The amp used in the video was the Yamaha THR5A 10 Watt Guitar Amp. The looper pedal used was one of the artists own. We have a large selection on our site. I have linked some below for your consideration :www.gear4music.com/search/?str_search_phrase=looper+pedals&ref=h
      Whilst we hope this helps, please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any more questions.
      Kind regards

    how doest this compare with the sv130? Is it just the loss of the preamp? What difference does that make?

    • @gear4musicguitars
      @gear4musicguitars  7 лет назад +1

      Hello,
      With the loss of the preamp the violin will not be as adept at live performances and will be suited to quiet practice.
      We hope this helps.
      Kind regards,
      Gear4music

    fantastic, noob question, why did you mic the amp? does it sounds better ? sorry i'm new with this :(

    • @gear4musicguitars
      @gear4musicguitars  7 лет назад +2

      Hi there!
      Not a problem. We mic the amp so that we can relay an accurate representation of the sound that we hear in the studio. We hope this helps!
      Kind regards,

    This is awesome! Thank you for this video.
    I just have one question. How ere the effects achieved? Were they multiple pedals? Were they in the loop pedal? Sorry, I really new to this and have no idea how these things are done lol.

    • @gear4musicguitars
      @gear4musicguitars  7 лет назад +1

      Hi Yuri,
      Thanks for the kind words. The effect is achieved with a looper pedal that Max brought into the studio with him to record. We hope this helps!
      Kind regards,
      Gear4music

    • @YuriViolinist
      @YuriViolinist 7 лет назад +4

      What I know is that he used a Multi-effect pedal, that Gear4music prefers not to advertise. So all those effects were part of the same effects pedal

    Can you plug headphones into this instrument? and what is a preamp? does it make a huge difference when comparing this instrument to the sv models ?

    • @gear4musicguitars
      @gear4musicguitars  7 лет назад +1

      Hi Carlos,
      Whilst you cannot plug headphones directly into this instrument you can plug headphones into an accompanying amplifier. A preamp essentially boosts the signal from an audio source making it more distinctive and clear-cut. We hope this helps!

    Hello Gear4music. Great video! and great website you guys have.
    I was wondering what those silver panels in the back are called, and if they can be found on your website. I have seen them in a couple places but I cannot figure out what they are. Thank you :)

      Hi there Yuri,
      Thanks for getting in touch. Unfortunately we don't sell these panels on our website. Sorry for the bad news!

      @gear4musicguitars  7 лет назад +1

      Hello,
      Thanks for the message. The amp the Max uses is this video is the Yamaha THR10 10 Watt Guitar Amp. The looper pedal used by Max was his own. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask.

    Hi, I am new to violin and want to buy a new electric violin. What is the difference between Yamaha SV-130 and Yamaha YEV-104.

    • @gear4musicguitars
      @gear4musicguitars  7 лет назад

      Hello there,
      The Yamaha SV-130 features preamps making it more adept at live performances. The 104 is more suited to practicing situations. We hope this helps.
      Kind regards,
      Gear4music

      Hi Thanks a lot. One final question please answer me.... I play Indian style of music(carnatic). SV-130 suits well to play carnatic music as I have seen many musicians use it. However I would like to know can we play carnatic music on YEV series. My tutor is NOT sure about it.

      @gear4musicguitars  7 лет назад

      Hello Raju,
      We see no reason as to why this would not be suitable for such use. As mentioned before the only difference is the loss of a preamp. We hope this helps.
      Kind regards,
      Gear4music

    • @gear4musicguitars

      Hello there,
      The violin is the perfect addition to any home environment and has been specifically engineered to reduce the volume at which it operates. We hope this helps!

      Gear4music Hi! Is it suitable to play at the apartment flats? What db of the noise level?

    • @1970Bilbao
      @1970Bilbao 7 лет назад +6

      Hi Guys, I measured the YEV-4 Violin at around 16Db. The Other Violins in the Silent Violin range that I tested (SV-150 and SV130) playing the same piece measured around 18-19Db (Louder than this model). My Acoustic Violin playing the same piece measure around 60Db. When using an ultra Violin Practice Mute this came down to around 30Db. Please note that Mutes are prone to damage your violin this is why they are not recommended for extensive playing.
      The good news is that 16Db this is not loud enough to disturb your neighbors unless your walls are paper thin so this Violin can be used without an Amp for Practicing if required.

      Gary King Hi! 16db with the practice mute?
      Thanks.
