      @@gadbmw7783 436 is very nice, what mods did you have? Mine did 0-62 in 3.6 and got a 12.1 QM. Had the typical stage 2 set up (mostly NVM and darkside stuff) with a custom 3” from topgear made to look like the M4 exhaust. I still have it actually, as new owner didn’t want some of the mods (🤷‍♂️) so have wheels, exhaust, & few engine bay parts, hoses etc. I miss that car a lot, was really nice to drive and wish I had gone stage 3 and kept it for another couple of years. It never missed a beat even once.

    The M340d one of the best cars ever in terms of daily performance and daily driving with the B57D30T2 one of the best Diesel engines. According to some people. Yes it is not so fast 100-200 but the daily performance with the high torque is excellent. The B57 is since 2016 on the market. In the M340d there is the B57TÜ2. They overhaul the engine complete. This one is more complex than the origin version of the B57. In terms of durability we will see. But the B57 generally is very durable. Do always a warm up with the B57, fresh oil (5W40) after 15.000 km instead of the stupid 30.000 km longlife oil change, not so much short drives and it will be very long durable. The oil cooling is much better compared to our 50 TDI. In these conditions oil temperature increases over 130 degrees. Well done, BMW for a diesel.

    • @rekaarnes
      @rekaarnes 10 месяцев назад +17

      I have the 265 PS B57D30 in my 730d - it is literally the best diesel engine I have ever experienced. Plenty of power, does 100-200 in 16,x sec and easily reaches 260 km/h, incredibly fuel efficient (average consumption is ~5,8 l/100 km), not noisy and good sound for a diesel engine and thus far really reliable. BMW knocked it out of the park with the B57.

      @@fentimanway1 I really can’t be arsed to argue with keyboard warriors. But you can try under another comment, maybe he’ll take the bait. Btw: my tuned Cupra 290 does sub 10 sec. 100-200 and I still think 16,x is plenty fast. Yeah yeah I know, you drove faster cars on Forza Horizon, I get it.

    • @fentimanway1
      @fentimanway1 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@rekaarnes Not being a keyboard warrior at all, just stating facts that your 730d is regular traffic. A bone stock 330i can do 100-200 with ease. Well done, would you like a medal for your mediocre FWD hatchback going faster than your 730d? Both are slow for today’s standards.
      Maybe you should hop back on Forza so you can get a “feel” of what something remotely fast feels like. P.s, my Yamaha R1 and M4 comp could both do a 100-200 and still complete the run faster than your tuned Cupra. The numbers don’t lie and if you’re in doubt you can check them from anywhere reputable.

      @@be1442 A stage 1 tuned M340d is a lot faster than a stage 1 tuned M340i in my experience. The standard M340d is actually more down-tuned than the M340i because BMW wanted to prevent the diesel to outperform the petrol version. The diesel has 340HP, the petrol 374HP originally and still praktically just as fast.

    Not sure why the 100-200 is so slow on these cars, a stage 2 e9x 335d will easily hit sub-10s 100-200kph with around 360bhp and the older 6-speed box.

      show me any diesel with 360ps doing 100-200 sub 10! a m340i with stock 390ps (dyno'd) can't do sub 10 sec. even it is combined with a ultra quick zf 8speed! are you dreaming or is your timer broken
