I'm sure this is true if the weight is minimal, the pace is slow, and you gradually build yourself up. The Army likes it heavy and fast, which causes a lot of injuries.

@QuanTanRs yeah that sounds about right! I had a hip surgery because of rucking. I hope your cousin is doing well.

I’m gonna need someone to send me one of those new issue large rucks. Looks so much more comfortable than my metal
    Frame one from 1998

It's called the Molle II Large Rucksack. Although, now they're rolling out an even newer one called the Molle 4000. But I'd still recommend you get something from Mystery Ranch (with the "NICE Frame") if you want comfort and stability.

Lmao this is only if you do slow, ligjt weight rucks. I’m training for the army Ranger 12mile ruck in less than 3hr with 35-50lbs. It take me no less than 5 days to recover after every session

If it takes you 5 days to recover. You have a VERY long way to go

@@moss8702yeah his training volume over time must be low and or he’s weak. I’ve been training for about 2 years now and am gonna do 1 more year of training for Sfas and it’s been tough. I was always gettting injured but I’m finally at a place where I’m recovering quickly and doing 4 heavy lift days two speedworks a long run and a ruck a weeek

A weighted vest does the same.

Both wreck your joints, running just destroys your joints way faster, rucking will much more slowly over time if you do it long enough.

I call bullshit! I rucked in the army and it messed my knees and my back up. Compressed my back. It’s all documented.

Brother, they made you put on more than 10% of your body weight without building you up to it. Glad you got it documented.

I notice depeneding on a lot of things, different muscles are effected. Like usually I use my issued bag, and then i tighten the waist straps extremely tight, and most of the weight goes to my lower body, butt, hamstrings. But the other day, I used a regular tactical backpack, with a 25 lb weight, whihc I think also makes a difference, and it feels more like if I didn't use the waist strap, all the weight went to my shoulders, lowerback, and my shins, it was absolute agony the following few days.

Once you start you cant stop. You'll tell yourself 4 miles with 65lbs and end up doing 12. Hahhaa
