Hello！This is from Japan。Lovebites can’t break up。Because world metal fan is waiting for their incredible live performance‼️
For all the people over there that manage to get tickets for the upcoming show. Make sure you are loud and show massive amounts of appreciation to the band because their management and label need to be shown that there is an international audience for lovebites. This band needs and deserves a world tour. It honestly seems criminal that more people don't know about them
they are already famous in Europe.
America is their dream and final destination to be known.

Everybody is waiting for it, but the United Nations have forbidden Haruna to play drum solos because they could break the planet.
If I can get a ticket I will be there in Atlanta. I have a 12 hour drive though but it will be worth it.

In their current "Judgement Day" tour of Japan, Haruna actually performed a 2-minute drum solo in the middle of their set in some or all of their concerts. I had the privilege to watch one of those when the Tokyo leg of the tour was streamed LIVE (paid) on 24 September. Haruna was awesome on that solo !! Fingers crossed there'll be a blu-ray/DVD for at least one of these shows by X'mas.
They might be filming the Yokohama show, which is literally TOMORROW! "The Final Judgment" ( Different set-list! )
As I shall be in attendance I shall let you know, although personally I think that the expense of the equipment used in Tokyo would make that the obvious choice. We only saw editing on the fly, and although there were a few technical issues, post production could sort out the majority of those I imagine.
@@alekhidell They might be using a lot of equipment in Yokohama too. They had plenty of time between those shows to move stuff and set it all up again.
@@alekhidell On Lovebites' official social media channels, they mentioned that they're going to make Yokohama "the best show". Also, the ladies seem to be putting in extra rehearsals the last few days. So it might be logical that this is the one they'll film for a blu-ray/DVD release. Anyway, speculation aside, do let us know if you see a dozen cameras covering the show tomorrow. Enjoy tomorrow night, you lucky so-and-so...!

Great reaction Anastasia. You should've watched their Livestream from Tokyo on Sep 24th. Near the end Haruna played a *long* solo. And *_I_* got to see them perform Live. Not in the venue - but *LIVE* . Besides that it's been a great concert year for me. So far I've seen Nemophila (March), Gacharic Spin (August) and Hanabie (Sept). Also got to see a 2 day Strongman show in Colorado with my youngest son :0)

Wonderful reaction, Luna, same as mine. I love these women so much, each one more than the last. And Fami is just a jewel in the crown. It's like Haruna's Little Big Engine drumming charges at you 100 miles and hour and Fami lays down a road for it THAT IS ALSO COMIN' AT YOU 100 miles an hour!! Just awesome.

I've been checking out the various bands who will be playing the festival in 2024. Frankly, they would be doing Amorphis a favor if they switched the order and let Lovebites close the day. They would never consider switching the order, and Amorphis would never agree to it, but in their position I'd have serious second thoughts about following Lovebites.
So right! I have nothing against Amorphis, but I pity any band now that have to follow Lovebites on stage 😂
Indeed. Who should _want_ to follow Lovebites on stage anyway? That might end up quite embarassing and unfair towards all the others. Even if Lovebites toured with "Iron Maiden", I would place Iron Maiden as _openers_ (e.g. with "Moonchild", a killer song live), and let Lovebites blow the roof off afterwards. It is simply a matter of psychology, and no situation to throw dices.
Amorphis is a legendary band, LOVEBITES still in the under place in metal scene.
I'm hoping that the ProgPower show is just the jump-off to at least a few other shows in the U.S. Would love to see a whole tour, but even a 5-6 show mini-tour would be awesome.

Drum solos: There are some very short solos here and there. And some bigger ones. From scratch, I remember a drum solo (and a bass solo) in the cover of "Eagle Fly Free", and a shorter one in "Soldier Stands Solitarily". I remember another short one in a song, I'm to sure of, which one it was... Something like "The Hammer Of Wrath" or "Thunder Vengeance", where Asami shouts "Ready!". Some 🐺 would probably know better...
On the Japan tour in September 2023, there was a dedicated drum solo as well as a piano solo ("La Campanella" / Liszt) around the song "Lost In The Garden"!

I am hoping and praying I’m able to get a ticket. I also may plan to camp out or be there super early so I can be up front at the show. I’m only 5’1 and it never fails, I get some tall-a** person right in front of me and I can’t see crap! 🐺🤘🏻
The ProgPower tickets (Nights 3&4) are only sold as a package and are $280 ea. There are only 900 tickets available and all the VIP tickets are spoken for. I have been to this festival and it's totally awesome ,so make sure you get your tickets when they become available on day one, as it will sell out quickly.
I think that everybody is waiting for them to announce more US dates between now and the Atlanta show. It seems to be a lot of effort going to the US just for a single short set at a festival that they're not headlining.
@michaelafrancis1361 Actually they are co-headlining with Amorphis and will be playing a full hour and a half show. I do think they are probably planning a US tour as well.
Yeah, I was surprised to see them get a 90 minute set for their very first US festival appearance.
Yeah, I won't be going to ProgPower, so I hope they will be playing more shows in the USA next year.

Said a billion times if you listen to Haruna the whole thing is a solo. There is an old saying among bass players that we don't solo because we are always soloing. Check out Victim of Time off the new CD. The beginning of the guitar solo Haruna is matching the guitars for the first part on rapid notes but the guitars may draw you away from noticing it.

Fami Fami Fami! actually Fami has only done SOLO stuff (including a Mini Album of 7 songs) before joining Lovebites
This is one of the oldest songs by LOVEBITES. It's derived from "Just A Liar", created for Miyako's former band "A Drop Of Joker" and was on their first album. This fresh version with Fami is excellent!
Another old song is "Bravehearted", created by Haruna (probably the only one) in Japanese for former band "Destrose", translated to English by Asami...
Nobody mention about but I believe 'Scream for me' is also derived from 'A Drop of Joker'.

The Atlanta ticket is for a festival with 12 bands over 2 days, so it will be a high price for a short set. Might be better to wait for a regular concert, unless you want to see a lot of the bands.

I've asked the organizers and Lovebites are going to get a 90 min set. Not 2 hours but pretty good. If half the other bands are decent, it should be a fun time.

Looking at your facial expression, I could tell that you heard that vocal note at the end, as well. I think she should have hit the last note with a vocal slide up a semitone, or so. The instruments did some sort of key change and Asami didn't follow with her sustained note. So, either a vocal slide, or an immediate jump to the new key. In any case, as a professional guitarist, vocalist and music producer, I hate to say it, but Asami just sang a flat note at the end of this song. You guys can kill me , if you like, but she most definitely sang a flat note. To be fair, that's probably the way they rehearsed it. Therefor, the note was intentional. However, with the key change, it was still wrong. Before commenting, sing along and slide your voice up, I believe a half step during that last note. Or, you can wait until her note stops, and sing her part over the last measure. Better yet, pull your instrument out, find the key before her sustained note, then find the key afterwords, and sing it with your instrument. I guarantee you will hear a different note than she is sustaining.

Haruna and BAND-MAID drummer AKANE are friends and are often compared. AKANE often performs wonderful drum solos during the drum parts of songs. On the other hand, Haruna has only performed a few seconds of solos so far. (Exception = Eagle Fly Free (HELLOWEEN cover) at studio live)
That's why Haruna's authentic 1 minute and 50 second drum solo, which was performed at an online live show the other day, was shocking. Unlike AKANE's provocative and sharp drums, Haruna's solo gave the impression that he was having a conversation with the audience through the drums. (This live performance started at 5pm in Japan, but I think it was around 4am in North America and other countries. I think the people who fought and won the battle against sleepiness enjoyed it.)

Fami played what fit the song, and she did it perfectly. That's a bass player's job, and she's fantastic at it. There are other, more complicated songs where she gets to show off a bit, but she's a real team player in Lovebites and you can see she is absolutely loving it.
