Just returned from the New Cross inn. What I witnessed was nothing short of a miracle! The professionalism absolutely floored me! Considering the venue was small, the audience gave them such a welcome it was understandable that Asami was in her element. Almost 90 minutes of unrelenting music starting with the Hammer of Wrath and finishing with glory to the world, The participation of the audience was nothing short of stupendous! The added bonus was watching them doing a sound check. Many would have caved in under the circumstances, but once again, the audience lifted them, and there a bonding continued! Not the most perfect of performances, but they will take a lot away from this experience as did l. Under the most trying conditions, Lovebites raised above it all! My respect for them after this has excelled greatly! Roll on Milan and London again! 😎🤟🐺 P.S. there were many countries represented there tonight, and the majority talked with each other, and many new friendships were made!! 😎🤟🐺
Thank you for being an awesome fan😁 I hope we'll meet along the way (with Lovebites melting everybody's faces of course!) I can't wait to see them in September 🤘🐺🤘
Thanks for the report. I'm glad everyone had a great time. Yeah, the venue was way too small. But Lovebites made it work. Highest respect to them. The crowd seemed pretty chill, which is good considering how close they were to the band. I hope the other venues on the tour will be much better than this one. I hope fans bought merch to help them out. This was almost like a warm-up gig for them. Fans were lucky to be so close to them. Rare opportunity. I would prefer a buffer-zone between the stage and the crowd, with security dudes. The crowd was too close. Thankfully nothing bad happened.
To all the trolls and haters I have one message! I’m 59 years old and in 1989 I saw a band perform in a venue smaller than this in Milwaukee Wisconsin. That bands name…? MANOWAR!!! It was one of the best shows I’ve been to, so whoever reads this, you tell those ladies they are in great Fucking Company!!! 🎤🎸🎸🎸🥁🤘 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺😎
Thanks for posting this! I am excited to see how Lovebites is doing on their new tour! First time playing shows outside of Japan in a long while. Yeah, this venue is way too small, but they did amazing with what they had to work with. And I know the crowd was very happy to see them up-close! Their new outfits are cool! I would consider this a warm-up gig. The rest of the tour will get better from here! Bigger venues, more fans. Go Lovebites! 🤘🏼🐺🤘🏼
Little message to all the grumpy people who complain about Asami's voice and her pronunciation of English: in this video everyone in the room understood her speech in English. So let the evil tongues be silent and thank you Asami for your magnificent talent!
Asami rocks! Those who criticize her vocals are likely of the old school rock band era of "girls can't rock"... The Japanese music scene is on fire (and dominated by females)!
Whether or not it is a problem, she really is hard to understand while singing. Regardless, I do enjoy their music. That said, I would enjoy it more, if she improved. As I see it, a lot of those grumpy people are simply frustrated because they want to like the band, but can't get pass this "issue". It's often about minor details whether someone likes certain music or not. So if someone doesn't like her voice, there is nothing wrong or unusual about that.
And what will be the total attendance of those attending the band's "world-class" concerts in the end? 5 or 10 thousand people? I believe that this tour will bring them only reputational losses and financial losses. Such shows would have looked quite authentic in the eighties, but those times are long gone. Not even their peers can be seen in the crowd. The lack of security at the stage is also disconcerting, because there is no guarantee that one of the cultists will not want to do something very bad, and the "goddesses" are literally at arm's length. The organization does not stand up to any criticism, the poor girls even lack extra square centimeters to step from foot to foot. The more ridiculous looks their stage images, probably the white clothes after this performance will go to the dry cleaner. A concert in a stable, there's no other way to call it.

It does seem that the people who were actually in attendance at this show really enjoyed themselves. Isn't that the point? I would prefer a venue like this as opposed to a much larger venue where I might get stuck in the nosebleed section and can barely see the ladies. If I was at this show I could have given Midori a high-five after every song!!

I have fully enjoyed this clip and am very proud of them by seeing making their best and Asami’s capability to make the audiences this happy regardless of the size of the venue.
I'm stunned by this too! Best metal band in the world in my opinion! Such a small venue to see them! Should be so much bigger. I'm really happy for everyone here, but also, I want Lovebites to become more known. They should be selling out much larger shows. I'm seeing them at a couple of their shows in the Us. Can't wait! I tried to see them in Tokyo last year but couldn't get tickets and still want to see them in Japan. They sound amazing here though for such a small venue. I hope they enjoy their tour and can do a much larger one in the future.
Reminds me of Iron Maiden's first Poland tour, where they played at a wedding reception. ("Smoke on the water") Also very intimate, but a historical event, and the couple and guests were grateful. Or take Iron Maiden's first Australian tour, where also smaller venues were booked ("to keep the money up"), restaurants with dinner tables included, and you heard announcements like "Table number 10, your steak is ready" in-between the songs. Therefore I think that Lovebites are following in Iron Maiden's footsteps and have a successful career ahead of them. Whether there are 50 or 50.000 people in their audience: They will _stand and deliver_ .
Asami’s vocals give you chills! She is crazy for selecting some of those insane high notes!!! He really delivers and has such a regal presence on stage, it unusual but so cool!
Thanks for the upload. Playing such a small venue reminds me of the Stones( under alias) playing a local dive bar years ago, great talent loves performing for and with their fans no matter the stage!
Thank you so much for sharing this video, I'm so happy to be able to see their show in London last night being in Japan!!! Really really appreciate it! I am sooooo jealous these guys being so close to Lovebites! So small venue! It's like playing in a bar or something.
For those who criticize the audio, I'm sure it depends on the camera device, settings or other factors. I saw a fancam on another channel that sounded pretty good. We are lucky to get a fancam from FIFTY SOMETHING. Thanks bro
I wonder if they run a line straight from the board for their own files. Both raw and another for the their board/house board. If someone isn't doing a pub/bar gigs, fan film documentary, then they need to start now. I see the house system and these ladies are waaaay past gigging and just playing through their amps.. They've gotta be working through the house system with someone at the board. Anyone complaining about the sound has no clue as to how sound recording works. The only way to get what most people think of as good sound would require running a line direct out of the house board and, even then, one would still want to muck with the levels later.
@@randomchord I'm not an audio enginer and don't know exactly how the system works. But people should keep the expectations low since it's just a fancam. I think the possibility of the next place is wider with better system
More like "Goddesses of Small Space" For such an age band to be doing a tour like this is a real shame. From that day forward, the Lowbuts were officially an object of ridicule.
Love Midori's new look. Asami the stage general as usual have to love her!!!! The only complaint is a small venue but it was great for this crowd. It reminds me a lot of Asterism's small venue clubs they performed in over the years. Size doesn't matter as Lovebites has only one gear on a stage....EPIC AWESOMENESS!!!!!!
Right, smallest stage they've been on in a minute... There are some great supportive comments in this thread..I will respectfully add... I've done several tours IMD and sometimes going back to a Small stage for a show or two can keep you Sharp, Crisp and Grateful for the bigger shows..☀️🧡🌎🌠 Have a beautiful weekend beautiful people😎
I KNOW THEY LIKE TO BE CLOSE TO THEIR FANS BUT THAT'S A BIT TO CLOSE ! THEY CAN REALLY ONLY SEE THE ONES DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THEM ! THEY NEED THE STAGE AT LEAST HIGHER !
It was just an ordinary pub. Very intimate venue !. When I was just going into the toilet before the gig three of the ladies were coming out of the ladies toilet next door. That was surreal!
I was sitting on the windowsill. On about the 2nd song, before the windows had steamed up, a maybe 50 / 60 year old guy was walking past the pub out on the street. He was wearing a motorhead jacket. He obviously heard the fucking epic music and stuck his face up to the window with his hands cupped either side so he could see better. The look on his face :) Just utter shock. He was there for about 10 minutes before walking off. I assume to google the venue and figure out who the band was. It got me thinking "ah yeah, I suppose if you haven't discovered Lovebites / the Japanese metal scene yet that is quite a WTF!!! moment. I had that reaction on youtube, Imagine just coming across Lovebites because you are walking past a local pub. So whilst I did mostly watch the show, I also glanced out the window a fair bit to see other reactions. Another interesting one was an asian women walking past with 6 / 7 or so other asian women and guys. She did a text book double take and then stopped her friends to come and look. They didn't hang about long, but long enough to all also give the "what the hell, what's going on" look with big grins. Real life reaction video :D
I'd guess that that Motorhead guy probably goes to that pub quite regularly where you can just pay on the door to get in to see some random band playing. He didn't know that the band playing there on Friday had sold out the venue four months in advance !
That was the best gig ever, I have never been so happy , it's so go to be close and personal and us crowd gave nothing but respect to the girls and they lapped it up 2 way interaction all night.. I know it's properly controversial if you buy a ticket you can stand were ever you like we are all the same , but in a flat room like this if say a 6 foot 5 plus people stand right at the front and block the view of 5 footish person , if I was that tall and I'm not I would stand back a bit ..
I can honestly say I've never been to a gig that was quite as album perfect as this one. This recording really doesn't get across quite how perfect they actually were and although it was a small room, it was a sensational atmosphere and you could tell that they were absolutely enjoying the hell out of it, walking around before the gig and saying hi to people and waving and smiling, just a class act in every sense of the word. Special nod to Asami too, she really took the time to make sure that everyone in that room felt a part of it. 10/10.
Absolutely right. Despite the small, scruffy venue, the ladies shone like the diamonds they are. One of the best gigs I've been to in nearly 60 years of following rock and metal.
Watching from my computer, I admit to once again being apprehensive when they start "Stand and Deliver". Then Asami delivered and blew me away again! Not to say the rest of the band didn't as well!
It's rather dictated by dry professionalism. I don't think they were really happy about what was happening. Ambition must have suffered greatly. Again, I predicted all this a long time ago, now only my words have taken the form of reality. At the moment, all eyes are on the European Championship and no one really cares about Lowbuts, so their tour will go unnoticed and there will be no replenishment of the Cultists' army. A fatal miscalculation that will only be to their detriment. They have a phenomenal talent for picking the wrong time.
@@philippecazeneuve4312 You shouldn't compare bands that are at the beginning of their journey, for whom these shows are in the order of things, and bands that are already close to the sunset. There is a simple axiom in the music industry: if recognition doesn't come within the first two years, it will never happen. Lowbuts is a regional band, not a world-class band. And not because I say so, that's just the reality. The bands you mentioned often do these gigs to get the attention of label agents, Lowbuts have been under contract for a long time, so it's a different story - it's a chronic lack of interest.
Why the moaners I would gladly stand in a smelly trash filled alley if I could experience a Lovebites show. This performance looked like so much fun. These ladies kick-ass.
Yeah, if you're into underground music, you should value club shows like this. A great band can sound incredible in a small space. This is not a sporting event where you "win" by playing to more people...
I share the same thoughts of many of us ,they deserve a better, bigger venue, but at the same time, im so envious of the people that got to see the play that up close
@@fiftysomething4717 It sounds really good! Haruna and Asami stand out the most but the guitars and bass were a bit lost at times but I can still hear them especially the solos. Do appreciate the effort!
wow small venue with what looks like a bunch of 50+ year old men but they smiled all the way through just happy to play, that is modesty along with great talent
Just as amazing as ever!!!!! Strange seeing such a scaled down venue. But as expected they delivered they're usual spectacular perfect performance. Asami's adorable english interaction with the crowd makes it even better. They are always sooooo good! Nobody deserves bigger and better than more these amazing ladies!!!! As good as it gets and then some!! Thanks for posting this!!
Wow, that is a tiny venue. I think I would be very thrilled to be that close to them. I can't believe their agency booked such a tiny place though. It looks like a security nightmare.
There was one security person there - the guy who was on the entrance door. In fact there were only four other staff there in total, three behind the bar serving drinks and one in the cloakroom.
Cool! Too bad they had to perform in a phone booth. We need these ladies in a stadium! They still were able to slay these songs! Stage lighting supplied by Fami's smile 🤘🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
The stadium sadly would be empty. The double sized venues (capacity 500-750) are still not sold out a few days before the show. So that seems to be almost the maximum of tickets they can sell for one show …
@@stand.and.deliver.5 I think they're largely unknown outside of Japan, and our wonderfully aware and supportive members of the Wolfpack who follow them in every YT video we see. They need to attach themselves to Nemophilia and/or Band Maid and do a shared ticket show (equal weight between the bands) or even do up to three bands? I guess Band Maid is more widely known as they are supporting larger shows. How they aren't known totally blows me away. I think Band Maid shows were this size the first time they came over though.
@@billyboyles Naah...this is what they call in the industry as preview tour. The band wanted to perform to a local crowd to gauge what the response would be (it was bloody solid from what I can tell). They are probably booked for the larger festivals and arenas in the Fall to early Winter season in Europe. This is a chance for promoters to see the band so they can be booked for other festivals in the area as well. It's a warm-up show of sorts.
Ja, hier in Europa sind die Damen noch wenig bekannt. Fans sind ganz nah. Wir genießen das. Leider wird es immer unpersönlicher, je mehr Soziopathen auf die Ladies aufmerksam werden . . .
They need a bigger stage! My word they sound amazing for such a small venue. Can you imagine though? If there weren't ticket sales, you'd be walking into the greatest random show in a bar ever haha. They sound amazing. You can hear everything, despite it being raw with no production and who knows about the sound system and recording device.
To all the people in the comments saying they need a bigger venue, whille I agree in principle, this is a band "paying their dues" or even testing the waters. I was there when Babymetal played their first solo show in the U.K. at a venue not much bigger than this (and no, I don't care if you don't consider them a "real band" or not, that's irrelevant to what I'm saying) They could, even then, have booked a large venue and probably filled it but had the sense and humility to not take it for granted. A couple of years later (maybe less) they played Wembley Arena. Band Maid took the same approach too. Next time they tour you can bet they'll play bigger places because they will know they can fill them and I'd be willing to bet everyone lucky enough to get a ticket for this show will be there (hopefully I will too)!
I could be wrong but I thought that Babymetals first gig in London was in the Forum Kentish Town a few days after Sonisphere in 2014 ? Thats not one of Londons bigger venues but its a lot bigger than the New Cross Inn. But I hope you are right about Lovebites. I enjoyed seeing them in New Cross on Friday but Im hoping that next time they are somewhere a lot bigger like Hammersmith Apollo or Brixton Academy. ruclips.net/video/-zR2_CC9Xho/видео.html
@@declanodonohoe9589 Thinking about it, you're probably right (about the size) but bear in mind the original venue was the Electric Ballroom in Camden which is about the same size (my ticket still had that printed on it) if not smaller than the New Inn. The next time Babymetal played the UK after that was at Brixton so it's a progression I think Lovebites will follow naturally.
I’m a fan of this team. But I don’t finish the video because this stage does not suit them. Their level is much higher than this place.but I don’t know why they agreed to play in this place. Because they must play on major stages and large audience. They deserve it
"They deserve much bigger scene" is probably the most popular mantra among cultists today. It's partly your fault, you've done too little to popularize Lowbuts. Scenes like that are their ceiling.
The bookers will put them in venues roughly equal to the number of tickets they think they will sell. On that score, it sounds like they were more or less spot-on here.
@@1963townlad you are probably right, but, they announced a bigger venue, 600 capacity, in the same city and tickets are not selling, so what is the answer? All I can say to any fan is, buy a ticket, even if you can't go to the gig. After all everyone keeps saying how cheap the tickets are.
Everybody quit your bitchin it`s great to have them back i`m jealous that I couldn`t be that close to watch them. They will be in bigger venues look at their tour. In the States they have already upgraded two venues because they got sold out. Enjoy them there BACK!!!! 🤘🐺🔥🎸🥁🎤

It's like playing in a bar or something.
its so weird watching the back of my head for 30 mins lol the girls where absolutely amazing!
Hi,I watched your live stream.Looked like you had a great night.Looking forward to july 1st.All the best to you.
thanks for uplöading. they would have deserved a much bigger stage.
It's so amazing ! They're beautiful and so talented : five true metal goddesses on stage ! I will be at the Zik Zak Club tonight ! YESSSSSSS !!!

They should be playing bigger venues

My respect for Asami just shot up 1000%! She is AMAZING!!!👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks for posting this -wish I could have been there. 🤘🎸🐺
Please support Japanese No.1 female metal band so they can perform in a bigger hall.
小さなハコでも全力でやるラブバイツが大好きです!😊遠くからですが応援してます!
Thanks for a great vid, can even see my shiny head right in front of Midori's mike stand!
Awesome night, girls were amazing
That is about the best place you could ever want to be for a concert! So lucky! 😀
One thing to note - Asami nails it! Not easy to do in such a small venue like this ❤️
Asami really stood out for me!
Yeah - even with the poor sound quality of this video, it is obvious that Asami is smashing it.
Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for the precious LOVEBITES live video.🐺🤘🎤🎸🎸🎸🥁🎶🎶🙇♂👏👍🤗
Thank You 50 Something!!!👏
Lucky fans, to be so close to the METAL GODDESSES!!!! So jealous!! 🔥🐺 And thank you for the video 🤘

But lucky for the fans to see them so close.
They need a bigger stage
Right, smallest stage they've been on in a minute... There are some great supportive comments in this thread..I will respectfully add... I've done several tours IMD and sometimes going back to a Small stage for a show or two can keep you Sharp, Crisp and Grateful for the bigger shows..☀️🧡🌎🌠
Have a beautiful weekend beautiful people😎
I KNOW THEY LIKE TO BE CLOSE TO THEIR FANS BUT THAT'S A BIT TO CLOSE ! THEY CAN REALLY ONLY SEE THE ONES DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THEM ! THEY NEED THE STAGE AT LEAST HIGHER !
They should play in a stadium..not this small stage..😢it's more like a cafe..
It was just an ordinary pub. Very intimate venue !. When I was just going into the toilet before the gig three of the ladies were coming out of the ladies toilet next door. That was surreal!
And a younger audience 😂
Oh yeah!!!
J'ai hâte d'être le 25 juin à la Maroquinerie !!!
Ça va déchirer !!!
Trop fort les filles.
Can't wait until July 1st when I get my chance to see them. 🤘🎤🎸🥁🎹🐺
It's an extraordinary group. They adapt to small concert halls with their simplicity and that's why i like LOVEBITES event more.
@@ingopek5485 I saw two big bands playing in a small room where there were 50 people and today they play in stadiums..
@@philippecazeneuve4312 Note that ingopek is a toxic troll known to the community. Ignore.

ファミがラブバイツに入って本当よかった〜 最高のバンド… もっと大きくなるべきバンドだよね❤
Cool! Too bad they had to perform in a phone booth. We need these ladies in a stadium! They still were able to slay these songs! Stage lighting supplied by Fami's smile 🤘🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
The promoters need to be replaced
@@ericsaari2901 Also in Japan it‘s not safe that they will sell out the Tokio Garden Theater show with 8,000 seats 😢
個人的にはこういう小さい所で見れるの最高だし羨ましいけどね😊
Yall dont worry about stage size they have some bigger ones coming up. But its nice to be this close!

this is so close to the stage❤
They need a bigger stage! My word they sound amazing for such a small venue. Can you imagine though? If there weren't ticket sales, you'd be walking into the greatest random show in a bar ever haha. They sound amazing. You can hear everything, despite it being raw with no production and who knows about the sound system and recording device.
Go back and watch again, focus on Haruna, she is killing it!
ASAMI IS THE QUEEN ❤
It's humbling when I see a band like this playing in dive bars.
Cool 🔥🔥🔥🐺🤘👍
The next time Babymetal played the UK after that was at Brixton so it's a progression I think Lovebites will follow naturally.
thanks
I’m a fan of this team. But I don’t finish the video because this stage does not suit them. Their level is much higher than this place.but I don’t know why they agreed to play in this place. Because they must play on major stages and large audience. They deserve it
I completely agree. The band that was at Wacken Open Air deserves more.
There is no logical reason to keep them confine in this small box. This is the band paving the new history of the rock music!
Awesome upload, It's crazy to see them in such a small area, but they played their best, Asami's voice sounded incredible. Thanks for the upload.

"They deserve much bigger scene" is probably the most popular mantra among cultists today. It's partly your fault, you've done too little to popularize Lowbuts. Scenes like that are their ceiling.
@@ingopek5485your trolling is not washing now with the fans. Now go away and listen to something else
The bookers will put them in venues roughly equal to the number of tickets they think they will sell. On that score, it sounds like they were more or less spot-on here.
@@RevStickleback they would have sold far more if the venue was bigger . I wonder how many tried and failed to get tickets
