I think that feat of endurance is suicidal when tried without a follow up boat for security and rescue just in case. What if you get caught by a storm?? What if your gps fails and you get lost? What if someone from the team has a breakdown? The wise thing to do is to be followed by a rescue boat, otherwise is wreckless and stupid since there is no need for all that risk.
