Scotty Nelson and myself used to eat breakfast at the El Cortez here in Vegas at least twice a month for many years! Scott told me that he went to Carvers place one time and knocked on his door, and no one answered, but he could here people inside, so he saw a window where the noise was coming from, and he peeked in, and saw Carvers wife, Pat, in bed with another Woman! True story my friend! LOL! I don't know! Scott was something else though, but a legend in the sport! I also rolled dogs with Duhon and Lonzo out here in Vegas, many years ago my friend!
It occurred to me based on my understanding that a dog doesn’t pas his genes to his children per se. He’ll pass either his sire or dam’s for every trait. The double bred Kane dogs thus are where the Kane full compliment of genes likely are.
My teenage daughter has a somewhat dark sense of humor. So she’s tossing a ball for my little Kane dog (Kane x Anne), finally she tosses a balloon. He chomps down on it and pop! He’s like what the heck. He wouldn’t go after anymore that day. Next day she gets him all excited with a ball, then tosses a balloon instead. He looks at it for a second, then grabs it by the knot, looks up at her with it in his mouth as if to say, “fool me once”, then starts running it circles with it, lol.

When you’re a notable breeder, people want to know what you’ve observed in your own dogs, like crosses you made, which you liked best and why etc.
I appreciate that bud but not trying to use this as a kennel advertisement..
It's the females he used ....carver wow
He just was in the middle of all the great dogs of that era. He could simply make a phone call and have what he needed at his disposal
