👍🏽 🇬🇧 April 2024 'Write what you know' - well & good for many, I'm sure - but if Michael Crichton operated by that maxim - he may never have written much. If you at least reckon that you have a creative imagination, & a compulsion to convey/express that creativity in the form of writing - then do what Michael Crichton did - research a whole new area which you hitherto know little about, a really deep dive - & your creative mind will end up replete with ideas of 'how to use this in a story'. Heck - we have the fantastic series _Debris_ as a great & recent example of this.
