I believe her exact words were as she butchered a CUMBER!: “ i’M NOT A GOOD CUTTER!” Just like as a presenter of an awards show where she said “I’M NOT A GOOD READER” . . . 🙄🤔🧐🙄😳 But just like her mom & big sisters (Kimbully & KoKo🤡) taught her, she is a pathological liar!😂😂😂

Sidenote: We don't put art over the bed in California due to earthquakes. It's a good way to get hurt or die in the middle of the night. I agree, I was a bit surprised by the decor of her house. It doesn't seem to fit her vibe.
I narrowly escaped disaster during the Northridge quake. For some reason, I was restless and slept on the sofa that night and it hit very early morning. My bed had the art above it on the bed, the tv on the opposite wall, a lamp and the shattered shards of glass from the bulbs in my vanity all on the bed. I would have been hurt for sure had I been in there. It was my first big quake since I'd arrived in CA so I learned after that how to protect myself. lol So, I'd guess that's why there's no art above the bed.

I don't live in CA, but was thinking the same thing. Years ago I'd heard or read about it being a safety issue in case of an earthquake. Makes sense.

    • @NBportofino
      @NBportofino 2 месяца назад +5

You are so wise to be cautious! After an entire lifetime in California we recently moved out of state. The earthquake mentality is ingrained. Even though they don’t happen here I still push things back on the shelves and feel sketchy about hanging glass or heavy pictures over the bed. It’s definitely a thing.

    • @CatherineSTodd

I have a large unframed canvas painting over my bed so no earthquake worries. Pinned to the wall and looks great.

You need a spurty fountain in a courtyard. The water cools the air. You open the rooms onto the courtyard. Grew up with that architecture, miss it, would love it.

Yes, I suspect it probably wasn't working. There is usually a small jet or bubbler in the center, then it spills over the sides so you have some vertical element and calming sound.

The downstairs clothing area was for samples and packing. She gets a lot of samples that come on racks from her stylist and she picks from them what she wants to wear or take on a trip. She gets compensated for wearing certain designers because every time she wears something, it sells a ton for the designer. So that's what that other area was. She doesn't actually own those clothes per se, what she doesn't want to wear just goes back.

When I first started as a hairstylist, just out of beauty school, my first boss told me if you give the customer what they NEED you'll be successful but if you give the customer what they WANT, you'll be a millionaire. I feel like you can't impose too much of your own taste onto a client. They know what they want and you just have to make it work for them.

I think her home is very well put together and creative , I’m also an interior designer and antiques dealer I’ve been into antiques since I was like 8 I’m 43 now so as far as you thinking it’s “ strange” for her to like old things but wear new expensive clothes Is hilarious to me I mean should she be wearing an old Muu muu like Mrs Ropper on threes company 😆? I believe your home whether your a millionaire or a regular person should reflect what YOU love and brings you joy , ohhh and I thought her closet was cool, very colorful and spacious and I’m sure not her only one, all in all I’d give her an 8 outta 10, but here’s my little critique what’s up with that enormous teal zebra 🦓 stripped chair you sat in ? The sink looks like the troughs my grandparents have in their rural farm in Belgium for the horses and cattle to drink water from. They have an old fashion well that they pump the water into a similar-looking one, but much bigger. Some designer must have sold her on ideas of what is "cool" to have and she said OK to everything. Now the house is just a mishmash of different things that may be expensive, but just somehow do not give you a cohesive look or feel. I think she can use your help to get it together.

OMG. Most of the furniture looks like it came from a thrift store or from yard sales. And maybe most of the art did too. The neon sign probably didn't cost that much. Probably the first thing we saw did cost a little bit of money, but... it's very possible that most of it really wasn't that expensive. Even the outfit could have been a used ebay find or something. And the bed and patio furniture - were probably just custom made, and that entailed sewing together a big bean bag out of upholstery material and then buying some cheap foam mattresses to stuff them with. I would imagine the house was expensive, and I guess some things were, like the faucet in the kitchen sink, and probably the tub, even though it is a garish color, so it could have been on sale... but, I bet after they bought the house they didn't have enough money for furniture. I hope that's the case and a "designer" didn't actually rob her blind.

Thank goodness great grandma had good taste. For some reason I've seen designers stating that the chairs and tables should not match, which I think is weird. Non-matching is for my tableware and art (oil painting and Chinese painted scrolls).

I’ve been obsessed with his Three Gems installation at the De Young Museum in SF for decades, and am planning to visit some of his various other landscape installations during my upcoming travels.

She can have anything she wants, and she grew up in very luxurious homes. She's showing us that she wants opposite of that, a more lived in look, but at anytime she could change everything and do the whole decorator showhouse thing. Makes me like her more.

    I love layering rugs, but
    1. It doesn't work in her dining room, either the rugs together or in the space at all. It's too casual.
    2. The "warmth" she claims it brings could have instead been created by bringing in a set of matching upholstered chairs.

Living in California, there is one thing that most do not do, and that is too hang something on the wall behind your bed & that's because of earthquakes. Of course you can make sure and double bolt & secure it to make sure it wont fall, but just for my peace of mind, I myself don't have anything hanging behind my bed.
Too each his own, but I absolutely LOVE everything about this house.

I don’t think it’s Kendall building a home next to her mother, I’m pretty sure it’s Khloe. I mean I guess Kendall could build one on the other side of her mother’s home but I think she likes a bit more space between her and her momager or whatever Kris calls herself.

You were criticizing her first closet, but you were not paying attention. That first closet is where she tries on different looks for her jobs. It’s not her official closet. You couldn’t even get her name right. I like the fact that she designed her house in a way that it appealed to her without being pretentious.

First time watching one of your videos. My feedback is there should have been more footage on the home...way more...and less footage on you...way less. There was no reason you couldn't have provided your narration, while we the viewer got to see the home. It seemed like every time I got a shot of the home, I couldn't relax and take it in, because you'd then switch to showing yourself. So very quickly I got disinterested because I wasn't getting enough footage of Ms. Jenner's home, which is why I clicked on your video in the first place. So, I'm going to search on youtube now and find another video showcasing Ms. Jenner's home where I can actually see it uninterrupted. 🙂

Yep you’re correct. I hate those pans. I always look at something on “how do we keep this clean” that’s why I hate vanities that are open underneath. Same with those cloud couches. I never buy a couch without pillows being attached. They get sloppy and old looking fast. And please that bathtub, gross. Chairs if you are going to mix them at least have the same texture whats with that outdoor woven chair being there?

It's not like I'm a fan of Kardashians lol))) But In one of the interviews she was saying I'm dreaming about moving to some farm and cuddling with animals, so no wonder she chose that farm style... And also she's the quietest and closed among the sisters, so I think it really matches her personality, not staged imho

I love Kendall’s house-specifically in comparison to the other Kardash/Jenner’s houses, which feel pretty cold. I love how the Clements (and Waldo Fernandez) approach to interior design and how they collaborate with their clients to come up with coooool shiz.

Great architecture! Beautiful light. Those couches look like someone tucked fabric (leather?) loosely around an old couch...that goes all the way to the floor...? Odd. That rock sink looks like you have to LEAN way over it to wash your hands and make sure not to catch your silk - or nylon! - fabric on the sink or else you'll come away with pulls in the fabric! Wtf with the neon sign. On the other hand, to me, that seems more her, than farmhouse - as you say. Agree that the bedroom is dreary. It does seem like it's a mish-mash of styles - which probably makes sense for someone in their 20's who's still trying to figure out who she is.

I like Kendall’s House because it’s what she likes and that’s what a persons house should be. Who cares if someone else doesn’t like it, they don’t live in it.
    - but you really need to ditch that chair, yup, ditch it.
