I can understand why you would like it. But at the same time, it seems like a rather petty reason to do all the stuff that he did. Especially when his objective was simply to not deal with someone that he found annoying.

Because let's be honest. The Rick didn't actually give him a choice, He made it seem like he has a choice but Rick could cross him to make him continue helping him.
This Morty was one-step ahead and didn't let false hope from Rick blind or stop him from getting actual Freedom.
After watching the whole episode, this scene makes a lot more sense. Evil Morty went back for our Morty, not because he cares (he absolutely does not care about any of them) he only returned for Morty because he was planning on using him for the swap to catch Rick Prime off guard. Damn, every micro-decision Evil Morty made this episode was calculated af.

It's cool to see Morty smart like Rick, honestly think Morty has the potential to be a great scientist but Rick has failed to pass the torch so to speak. Really hope the writers persue that in the future with Morty Prime. Obviously he wouldn't be as smart but even 60% and he'd be one of the grestest minds in the galaxy.

Evil Morty’s Rick crying out about wanting to be killed way back really rings the nostalgia as to how it connects to the current flow of events. Evil Morty’s Rick may have been an especially toxic and exploitive version, so it would make sense on why that Morty became evil.
I may be a bit backlogged, but I didn’t really notice the difference in the VA’s of Rick and Morty. Perhaps it’s auto-tuned, or the actors themselves are doing a good impression that makes it hard to notice.

Tbh, i don't think the new voices are so bad, they are just a bit different. Also wanted to note how in the end of the episode, when rick and morty return home, we hear the same music as the one in season 1's Cronenberg episode, except this time, we see rick. It really shows how hollow and scared rick is rn, like morty was in that episode.
The new voice actors are doing a good job, and it’s not like the previous actor was fired for any unjust cause. Seems to me the people who complain need to get a grip

I think Mortys have a higher level of intelligence than Ricks but Rick is keeping him from growing to surpass him, a little for the selfishness and a little for understanding the pain that come with that level of intelligence. Also the finite curve was made to keep prime from fleeing into infinity
All the non-canon stuff seems to indicate a Morty can become a Rick or something like a Rick. So it makes sense that evil Morty is the “rickest” Morty.
The only question about Evil Morty that hasn’t been answered is why and how he got so smart. I’m suspecting it has something to do with the crystals like in the first episode. This version of Morty must have kept the crystal that made him smart while the others didn’t
I think that through his adventures he has learned how to use Rick's tech. Prime Morty can use the weapons of Rick pretty easily. So it isn't a stretch that evil Morty started looking into how it worked and started making his own. Not to mention, he added to that knowledge by downloading all the Rick's brains.
He use the same smart seeds Rick uses. Remember we see them in S1 stealing seeds so Rick can keep his super intelligence and in the President Morty episode during the speech we see them harvesting mass quantities of seeds
I think it's something his Rick did out of lazyness. Sure evil Morty made the eye patch but it seems to connect to wires in his eye socket already & I doubt he gave himself surgery. His Rick probably gave him that to upload information he needed Morty to know for their adventures. I bet he just figured out how to use ricks mind downloading tech on some adventure where his Rick used it. Then all he needed was to put the pieces together.

We've all seen that even prime Morty can be a formidable force if he wanted to. He has changed a lot since episode 1. The episode with the death crystals, and Narnia being my best examples. He was beast moding the entire time.

With how smart Evil Morty is it makes you think Rick intentionally keeps him out of school to not get too smart. Those seeds in episode one that made Morty "smarter" didn't give him knowledge, he already knew Pi to a large decimal place to give the square root and already knew the laws of Thermodynamics. He was also able to reprogram that Rick Prime bot to fire missiles so he is smarter than he acts
Thing is evil Morty was shown to mass harvest the smart seeds in the show. It’s possible he’s been using these the whole time. We don’t really know the extent to the seeds or how they work. Only that Rick also abuses them to help with his science. So maybe this version of Morty has been doing the same for a long time and then went into over drive when he became president morty.
People don’t seem to like ricks new voice, but I like it, more specifically I like that Rick isn’t doing that stupid painful burp while talking anymore. Looks like that was a JR thing and I’m glad to be rid of it
My favorite part of the ties between the series and this episode is when it premiered: It being season 7 episode 5 means that there is only a quarter of the series left, and now that Rick achieved his ultimate goal in this episode, he is figuring out what his life will be after this huge contained thread. Just like the series, he needs to figure out what to do with the time he has left.

Dude, this Morty is very different from the Morty we know, he’s a Rick level genius. The jig was up for me when I saw him soldering something in his room. That let us know this Morty had an interest in electronics, enough to keep soldering irons and other tools in his room. I doubt our Morty knows (or even cares) what a Soldering iron is. It’s established that he’s pretty dumb.
The reason why Prime Rick lost is because he (just like you) underestimated a Morty.

I think that Evil Morty is a Morty that has been juggled around the system so much to so many different Rick’s that he sort of just slowly grew to their level or maybe something else happened, either way something definitely separates him from the rest of the Morty’s otherwise they’d all be smart enough to want to leave their Rick’s too

Given the nature of the multiverse, both mathematically and practically given that all possibilities are eventualities, I think it's fair to say that our Morty is the diametric opposite of Evil Morty, just as Main Rick is the opposite of Rick Prime. Both sets have equivalent potential but it's expressed in opposing ways. So Our Morty could be just as capable as Evil Morty, but won't become him, instead chosing to stay and helping Rick and being with his family.
People keep saying Evil Morty isn’t evil, do you guys not remember him kidnapping, torturing, killing innocent Mortys? That Morty hurt, killed, and fucked over anyone that was between him and his goals, that’s pretty fucking evil.
Yeah, but he did all of that to FUC off from all the other ricks, not because he wanted to assert dominance or becasue he wanted too. While it is evil, he would technically be Chaotic Neutral, due to his nature, and how he stopped messing with everyone once he acheived his goal.

I'd like to think of this much like Mamons magificent mid seson special. This episode refels so much to us and yet it opens so many new doors. It give us clarity but leaves us wanting more.

The only thing I dislike about Rick & Morty is the wait between seasons. Other than that I enjoy the show immensely and it ranks as one of my all time favorite TV shows, animated or otherwise.

For those who don’t know why Evil Morty didn’t simply quit: It’s because Rick has backups and would highly likely replace him if he did. Maybe our Rick got better, but Season 1 ver Rick would definitely do that.
It wouldve made more since if evil Morty was like a Rick who Dianne was killed by Rick prime and he decided to swap bodies with a Morty to hide from the council of Rick's which eventually led to him destroying their reconstruction and leaving the central curve thingy and that could've also explained the Rick that was remote control it could've been his old vessel and it could explain why he's so smart for a Morty because how would a Morty be smarter than a Rick and mind control him in a few seconds over a fall out
Ok now it makes bit more sense about dead wife. Prior to this episode it was always strange that Rick wasnt able to bring wife back. Just look at the abilities he had: time travel, clones, new reality, back ups and list goes on but if she got wiped out of existence that makes things bit more difficult although I am still not sure is there reason why he cant clone her from lets say strand of hair that was left by her etc.
If she is wiped from existence in all universes, there can be no strand of hair, ever. She is absolutely absent - and that means every strand of hair, every skin cell, everything that was ever her has utterly ceased to be.

Wonderings if the universes in the central finite curve are limited to 3 digits. (No Morty 1000 or a Morty 2000) No Zero No I.E. starts at 1. So the A,B,C...ECT. Morty C137 is the 3135th version.
Please tell me If I am off. I cant think of a reference to a grater that 999 or a 1000 in the series so far. (1000 would be Morty A001) Or skipped 0 so that they exist out side the finite curve.)

If or when the show does end I hope it does better then community. I loved that show but when they started to replace the characters it just did not feel the same. Donald leaving to pursue music I understand. Chevy chase situation is just sad. And it not that bringing new characters doesn't work but I think this should have been thought of earlier. Like with Chang. He was never fully apart of the group until later seasons but he would alway be Involved with the other characters so when he did join it fealt natural. I know since Rick and morty is animated it's not really the same situation, but I can see it heading down a similar path.
In this part, the series showed the audience how Evil Morty changes when he sees indifference as a caring person, and in the rest of the series, it showed that the concepts of good and evil depend on the point of view with the "And they call me Evil Morty" part, I could not blame Evil Morty while watching it, because he cared incredibly about Rick. Even if he wanted to do something unusual (entering a creature's ass jdjd), he was doing it because he wanted it, but he saw that it was just a tool for Rick, so he changed, the reason was right.

Honestly I've really liked the new season, genuinely way better than last season so far. If anything this past episode was a bit overdramatic to me, especially the evil Morty stuff

The series might feel a bit different because morty is growing, note in this season Morty starts going on solo mission and takes initiative like in the spaghettis episode and when he sells galactic drug, but Morty being Morty messes up still. I think the producers wanted to show these changes of a growing morty and hence decided to change the voice actors

Wait! So what about Gravity Falls journals having the "Rick was here" quote and all the other cross overs that have been done. So the CFC was created to close the multiverse from anyone going beyond and into the universes where Rick is the smartest man on Earth so no one can oppose Rick and this also prevents Morty from traveling beyond so he will always see and have a Rick by his side. So my other questions are:
How did Rick and Stanford meet?
* Is there a Rick in the Gravity Falls Universe in order for Stanford to meet Rick?
* If Gravity Falls doesn't exists in the CFC universes, how did Stanford and Rick meet since the portal Stanford made cannot penetrate the CFC.
* Why is there a BLUE vile that is labeled as Stanford in the Morty's Mind blowers episode appear?
* After Season 7 Ep 5 aired we see that Rick is unfilled with his thrust for revenge. So would this mean that Rick and Morty just become a band of criminals trying to take down the Galactic government where they meet Stanford?
Or could it be Time Travel? Which is one thing that Rick hates doing especially when they do the Snake episode "Rattlestar Ricklactica" He even punches Morty for getting them into that mess.
I am really intrigued with this show, it is unpredictable at times and the plots and twists I really like them. Story telling at its finest.
I believe that the gravity fall universe should still within the ricks CFC, the CFC only rule so far is that within all these universes, Rick would be the smartest creature. That all being said though, I doubt we would ever see any big Gravity Falls related episodes asides from maybe a couple easter eggs here and there.
No one is asking the question of Beth primes mom and and where is she Rick prime obviously didn't kill her and if that's the case every Morty is Morty prime clones
