From what I heard there was a bit of a conflict that did happen related to someone who worked with Toby having problems with Undertale Yellow's soundtrack despite the fact Toby Fox himself said it's fine or something

So a bit of background, Sebastian Wolff is the CEO of Materia, who Toby used for his music publishing for Undertale. When you get a content ID for Undertale music, it comes from Materia on Toby's behalf. Materia has picked up a reputation of taking advantage of creators who they're meant to represent. Toby Fox had tried to get Materia to stop making content ID claims on RUclips for Undertale music, which they claimed wasn't possible even though there is an option to stop all auto-claims. Whether Materia deceived Toby on purpose or had a more complex situation is unclear.
The other day, Sebastian Wolff made a Twitter thread essentially arguing that Undertale Yellow is in violation of Toby Fox's copyrights for his Undertale music, along with a Materia company policy change to uphold content IDs on any Undertale fangame content, against Toby Fox's wishes to stop content ID claims for his UT/DR music and seemingly without his knowledge or permission. Not only that, but also Undertale Yellow supposedly received permission through direct communication with Toby Fox and also Toby Fox had given public permission for anyone to make fan music based on Undertale. So essentially, this Sebastian Wolff guy is singlehandedly turning what used to be a positive culture of Undertale fan content into a mess of possible legal trouble, entirely on his own and without consulting Toby Fox. And it's already making people afraid to make any new fan content or even videos covering fan content because of how Materia might take action against them or (in the case of videos from full-time creators) rob them of ad revenue that they depend on.
The community is now hoping that Toby Fox makes a statement on the matter to clarify his own stance and ensure Materia stays in alignment with his wishes. But until then, it's certainly a worrying situation.
