He was a complete lunatic from birth and I am glad he went to prison for years. I was traumatized during that period as I landed in S.F. but I was just a secretary not a hippy and loved the weather and the beauty of SF and never got into the hippie movement even though I ended up in Haight Ahsbury. I was transplant from Brooklyn. A lot was going on during that time much of which I never understand . I was Greek ethnic and there was turmoil everywhere. Also The Black Panthers were randomly shooting people and then the Zodiac. The Viet Nam returning soldiers sexual drug freedom and we had the Jones killings. I was on a grand jury in Mendocino for a year and discovered Jim Jones was on the same Mendocino grand jury only a few years before me. He too went from a guru to a lunatic. My husband and I were to be married by the Greek Orthodox Priest in Mendocino but it never happened because his child was involved in the jonestown airplane shooting in Jonestown. The priest had to leave . I cannot remember if the priest son was murdered and his daughter shot but it was bad so my husband and I got married at home with a justice of the peace judge a friend of mine. All sad events when really all Iwanted was some freedom from my parents and tolive in a beautiful place. Its been years and now after 40 years of marriage we look back and feel sad about our almost wedding.
