Hey james love these videos man. The barbers 380 was almost a fair price. Im indian, living jus near Kolkata, in a city called ranchi. Hey Kam, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with me, as well as watching the video 🤴 Kolkata was perhaps the most impressive modern city I visited in India, but I also liked exploring the local neighbourhood too. I can’t believe that the local barber was so humble and did such a good job for 380, when a tabouleh salad at the place I went to in the evening (200 meters away at Quest mall) cost 715, before service and tax! Thankfully the restaurant provided a couple of things on the house for me to try, as I would never have spent that kind of money whilst on travels (and, frankly, I find the local eateries - as with barbers - more interesting). I appreciate your tip and will check out some videos of Ranchi so I have a better understanding of where you’re from, and the city of Kolkata. During the Raj Calcutta was the biggest and most important city in the world after London and till 1970 it was the biggest and most important city of Asia. From the 90s after the Soviet fell and America grew close to India, the Indian sentiment towards the British became softer with every passing years. So, cities are friendly but as you go to the remote areas where modernity hasn't reached much there people maybe rude.
