    Reporting, Graphs AND Dashboard is a massive functional strenght if you know what you are talking about. Performance analytics is way ahead of most other tools with integrated reporting capabilities. I do not agree that you classified it as a weakness. Other than that,, solid video.

      Are you referring to the following:
      - look and feel of the reports produced
      - ability to create reports
      - ability to collaborate on reports
      - "live" reporting capabilities
      I'm also interested in this aspect of the tool, but I'm brand new to ServiceNow. I haven't even touched the system yet. I'm trying to do some research for my clients.

    How I choose between ServiceNow or Salesforce?
    I'm looking to do certification. Salesforce is huge and starting to saturate. Tons of professionals already in the market. ServiceNow seems newer and less competition, however not as widespread.
    Looks like both were built for only one specific module, but then expanded into a full ERP system cloud.

    Can SN integrate with SharePoint Lists?

  • @minkiman
    @minkiman 2 года назад +5

    Actually all that is wrong. ServiceNow does offer SKU''s for asset (inventory) and financial (ERP), Manufacturing...etc capabilities specific to industry to run an enterprise. And yes its not easy to setup. its a 2 million dollar platform . It''s not meant for mom and pop shop, but for serious companies looking to invest in a solution that is not "set it an forget it". It requires a crew\team to run , maintain and meet changing business needs

      Not quite. ITSM systems also include inventory management, change management, service level management, contract management, configuration management and at times knowledge management facilities that are all integrated with the familiar incident and problem management facilities.

    I understand ServiceNow has some project management/scheduling options. Would you recommend, or do you know if anybody is using ServiceNow as an NPD project management tool?

  • @MrNemitri

    I just really hate that service requests tickets have 3 different numbers! That is so freaking confusing and unnecessary! They should have used one type of number, I really hate it when the customer gives me the request number/requisition umber, when I use the Task number....

    Hi Eric,
    Thanks for this information. I recently received an opportunity to learn ServiceNow or Salesforce and doing some research of which to choose. Any recommendations or suggestions would be appreciated.

    • @kylemacarthur9863
      @kylemacarthur9863 2 года назад +1

      Just my personal observations because I looked hard at both too. BOTH are great careers. Salesforce takes >2x as long to learn (say 3 months vs 6) but total # of Salesforce jobs >2x as well. Salesforce with bigger # of people ahead of you means harder to be a star. ServiceNow fewer people already doing it so easier to be a star. BOTH will let you make money AND be a star in the end.

      @@JamR0ck I joined ServiceNow! What won me over was that I think the future is connected devices and internet of things which is exactly where ServiceNow has strength. Salesforce is top tool for salespeople but that is not the future. That was my thought!

    Having over 13 years of hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform, I must admit this is a very weak and superficial analysis, which only consists of some "observations" that are not supported by any facts or numbers. It therefore leaves an unprofessional impression. If you want accurate information about the pros and cons of ServiceNow, reach out to an experienced ServiceNow implementation partner.

      Thank you for your feedback, though I disagree that service now partners are going to give an objective view of the weaknesses of the software.
