One of my favourite lorries to drive in the Army. Practically had VTEC and once that kicked in, the acceleration was insane!
Had a lot of fun taking it off road and one time getting it stuck in the mud, just rocked it back n forth until it was unstuck (not bad for an automatic!)

That RLC bloke at 0:24 that spoke is my Uncle Shane! He managed to get to WO2 (SSM). He's now a transport manager for this country store company.

    Help needed please.
Questions from ex employees of Leyland Motors UK. Who have a newsletter and group.
About Pirhana designed by Hispano Suiza. Then made under licence around the world. British were interested too.
Could Poland have been interested in buying these? It seems Leyland was approached to make them Pirhanas (or similar) in 60s/70s but the order was never agreed it seems. However the order was quite advanced and admin evidence at Leylands seems to exist for a large order of thousands. Which has been found. Group interested in any insight from anyone and will let them know.
    Any info appreciated.

Sounds to me like you don't really need telling.
But I will tell you this on the early ones going down a slope and up it ( where even the mines bulldozers would not go, too steep) up was a breeze untill loss of traction drill but going down was a rollercoaster till the retarder kicked in.
They left many a brown stain in the undergarments of very senior officers who dared to have a cabby as the passenger.
Over all, good off roader, I don't mean, boys toys stuff.
      REAL OFF ROADING!!!
