I come back to this video a lot more often than I thought I would. This time period for mainstream entertainment was inspiring.

The crazy part is people during this time period, people thought hip hop was dead. The subject matter and lyrics were really dumbed down at this point. A lot of one hit wonders came out during this 05-08 period with something like a song and dance. Kanye and Wayne were on fire during this era and put out some classic material. Both are 🐐

This is the moment I realised Kanye was a true fucking great. I was disappointed when Wayne didn't win but when Kanye brought him along and admitted he was scared of him I realised he was deserving of it too. To this day I always give Kanye the benefit of doubt even when there's a shitstorm around him.
