It’s interesting how TSC and also other airlines have gone full circuit with their fleet. I first flew with them in 1995/6 when they had B757s and L-1011s - mainly narrow body from the UK to Canada. The introduction of the A310s phased out the 75’s and the 1011’s to wide body across the Atlantic. Now back to narrow body. I’m sure it won’t be long until the A220 is certified to operate ETOPS. Great video as always Alex - always rely on your videos to keep me up-to-date with the Canadian aviation scene here in the UK.
ive flown with transat all 4 times i visited canada and they was all on their a330-200s except from in 2019 (my most recent visit to canada) i actually got to fly on their a330-300 from gatwick to vancouver which was cool and all of my experiences with them have been fantastic 👍🏼
Alex will be doing more of these as he asked what airlines the channel members what airline we wanted him to do next also I also thought transat only flew non wide body’s until I booked with them and it was with a a330 but I ended up canceling it and going with WestJet

I Love Air Transat they have a fleet of Airbus A321's & A321NeoLR's I hope too see them if I Visit Montreal from My Home Country Barbados we have Seasonal flights from Montreal only by Air Canada.
So here's a question. That I'm hoping someone can answer for me. On the a321-200 Club Class are the seats just regular economy seats with an empty one in between? Or are they the proper Club Class seats? I'm not sure how that particular configuration works.
Had to travel on an AT 737 from edmoton to cancun to edmonton and the seats were so cramped that was the worst return flight I have ever had. I would never travel on an AT 737 ever again.
I flew on a air transat 737 once from toronto to santa clara on vacation me and my parents were in the very front of the plane like row six there and there was no club class so in economy decent amount of leg room and pretty much normal eco
At one point Transat decided to become comfortabel and had better eat pitch than Air Canada. But I assume they've now gone back to "charter" cattle class to match Air Canada. Since Transat had thrown in the towel, their fleet plans in last 2 years would have been decided by Air Canada who was set to buy the airline. With the merger thankfully dead, I wouln't be susprised to see Transat rethink irts fleet and bring back the 330s if/when sun destination re-open for travel/business.

Air Transat lost my luggage on my way to Europe last month. When I arrived, I was told that I would get it the next day, so I was stranded in Europe without my belongs - not even a toothbrush, deodorant or a pair of pajamas - but didn't buy anything. They said my luggage would arrive the next day, and buying stuff would mean that I would have to take it back home too. But my luggage never arrived. I kept calling the numbers they provided, and no one ever answered. I e-mailed the addresses provided, and STILL haven't received a response. When I was finally able to get a hold of a laptop, I completed a claim form (the form wouldn't submit from a smart phone). The airline ruined my trip. My luggage eventually arrived after 11 days. Days after I had returned home from my trip. When it did arrive, the telescoping handle on my brand new luggage no longer worked - so I have to buy a new suitcase too. I was never refunded the money they charged me to check my baggage. I was never compensated in any way, not even for the stuff I had to buy. I have never received an apology. I've never even been contacted by the airline. WORST. AIRLINE. EVER. But the purple ambient lighting on the plane was pretty.

Certainly not my favorite airline. Nor are Airbus planes. Find them noisy and tight for space and often problems with seating reservations. Give me Boeing anytime.
It's the airline that determines seating space, not the aircraft manufacturer. And the A320 family has an advantage over the B737 due to the 7-inch wider fuselage that permits either wider seats or a wider aisle.
I realize its the airline that determines seat space. I always feel like a steer in a cattle liner in a Air Transit Airbus. And its usually Air Transit who after all these years in the flight business continues to screw up seating arrangements. Lots of better options.

Air Cattlecar. If I want to fly in such cramped conditions, I'll ship myself as freight. NEVER fly Transat!!!
