I had meniscus surgery over 2 years ago and have had 5 cortisone injections since for pain and swelling being the last one only helped for about a month.
Now I have been diagnosed with a complex bakers cyst with thickened walls. Swelling and pain all day while I walk.

In 1963 I had a Bakers Cyst surgically removed from my 8 year old right knee. 5 days in hospital and 19 stitches later I was allowed to go home. Could you please mention how old most people are when they develop this issue? Thank you

Can a cyst be drained without a knee replacement. I’m 81 years old had three knee replacements on same knee,so a knee replacement on this knee is not something I would look forward to do. After three on the other knee snd still have knee pain . I think my body just does not like foreign matter

Dear doctor, thank you but I am confused: Sounds like any treatment you mentioned in this short video, you also added that they don't seem to work well, or that they are experimental, saying even surgery is not a good idea because it makes joints worse. So what are options for getting rid of Baker's cyst.

I am 69 years old and have a whopping great cyst, the size of a plum, have had it for about three years, on my right knee. Very easily visible, looks like a second knee!! First question maybe someone here can answer or I need ot do more research, what other kinds of cysts on the knee are there other than this Baker's cyst? Are there other kinds? Is every knee cysta Baker's cyst?
Just recently for the first time, I have been getting a strange unplesant sensation around the cyst when I walk. It is not a pain really, more like an unpleasant sort of "swallowing" feeling or pulling feeling, around where the cyst is. Hardly feel it when I am still, don't feel it when I go up the stairs but I feel it immediately I start walking.
Any comments info similar experience etc from anyone would be gratefully received.

What are your thoughts or experiences on giving hylaronic acid injections of the knee for osteoarthritis? Have you seen good results?

I had a toe amputation, a couple months later walking on it as straight and as well as I can, as I love going for long walks I found that my knee on the same foot was starting to hurt bad. Btw left foot 4th toe. Doctors have done everything, now I’m getting a lump on the back side of my knee looking like the Bakers Cyst but comes and goes. My pain is moving further up my leg. Do you have an idea what’s wrong?! Thank you. Sid

I have a Bakers Cyst. I have had it for years and it is big. I had a knee injury from skiing and tore my meniscus. I had the tear removed but the cyst never went away. It bothers me when I work out. Can’t it just be drained?
