You can always plant ferns or vanilla in. Only orchid I can think that would love the environment

They are such awesome animals. It's a shame they don't live a lot longer though

Considering they've managed to live in great big open spaces, I think the only reason to stick them in a small tank is for the reason you said but I would think that most look for food if they want to survive to pass on genes if they can and when you keep them in a tank you can at least feed them yourself if your mantis is in the mood
I'm thinking of getting a mantis myself but I'm already setting the terrarium with terrarium plants, the mantis will be okay though won't as long as it's never been treated with chemical's won't it ??, I'm also putting it in a large-ish enclosure it's a little smaller than yours but it's better than spending loads of money by starting in a 32oz cup to then have to buy enclosure after enclosure for my growing mantis, an that's like anywhere from fifty to hundred an fifty quid extra that I needn't have paid out
Your Orchid mantis is so so cute, maybe I look into maybe seeing if they are okay for beginner mantis keepers
Then once I've gotten that all set up I think I'll look into the little tree frogs, cause I find them just as fascinating as well as mantis's and the little jumping spiders also
Loved your set for your adorable mantis
I was born in 74 and still remember my mum using a mangle over the top of our twin-tub that you had to push up to the kitchen sink to to use the water and drain it again once you'd done the washing and spinning

Late suggestion/idea: maybe have a spot in the terrarium that you could place an orchid, or whatever, for the main purpose of photo shoots? for easy in and out placement.. you could use a decorative plant to hold the spot inbetween photo shoots or something..

I have with my daugther female orchind mantis 7 or 8 instar. She is large and my daughter is playing with her daily. We had orchid in the enclosure and the flowers did not last long as you have pointed out.

How do you keep your polka dot plant short and compact?

Hello Danny. I'm new to orchids I live in the United States I was in lows the other day and bought my first orchid on a impulse buy. It's a pretty phalaenopsis but I got it without doing any kind of research on them. So I've been waiting hours of you videos to educate myself. My problem/question is. The orchard is in a pot with 2 other "house plants" and the pot it's in has 0 holes for my orchid to get air in it's roots. It has really nice flowers and the leafs look healthy and green. Should I wait till the flowers drop to put it in its own orchid pot or would it be healthier for it to do it now? Love your videos extremely helpful and hope to learn much more. ❤

If it leaves still look healthy, you can wait until the flowers wilt

How do the people who think inclosures should be small think they get their food in the wild............ Where the "inclosure" is... The WORLD..... They hunt. They are ment to hunt. How can they really hunt in a small inclosure??

Have you named her yet? I mean, she IS an orchid mantis...so a good neutral name since you aren't 100% she's a she...What about Catt? (Two ts...very important 😉)
