When it comes to promoted listings, and people saying its not working for them, here's the thing. Look at your impressions. Are they up since you started promoting your listings? Then it's working for you. That's literally ALL promoting your listings is intended to do, from the platform perspective. If your impressions are way up, but your sales haven't budged, that means you don't have good inventory (or more accurately, you don't have inventory anybody wants right now, for whatever reason.) Promoting your listings just gets more eyeballs on your items which you can check by looking at your metrics on ebay related to impressions and views. After that it's just on you whether or not your stuff is selling. Bad stuff, overpriced stuff, terrible photos, etc, all can make promoting your listings virtually irrelevant. Like Cayley said, if you don't have a decent organic traffic and conversion rate within a margin you already feel good about, then fix that first before you go into promoted listings. It's not a magic wand. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk

Hello Cayley you are back! Also thanks for your answer in regard to a return situation I had weeks ago. I did as you recommended and it worked with no hiccups.
I’m trying promoted listings at 8-10% and I’ve seen a good increase in sales. (I’m a teacher so I’ve also been able to list more consistently & spend more time sourcing better inventory lately). The issue is I did not realize shipping fees were included in calculating the promoted listing fee. I’m excited about the # of sales, but my net profit is so disappointing-especially if the item is selling on an offer to watchers.
Hi Caylee, Love your videos and your content. I’ve learned so much. Thank you! Quick question about self through rates… When you are determining the self through rate, do you drill down to the specific size of the item you have? Or do you keep it slightly more general, for instance, 2x and 3x versus only 2x? I always try to be specific if it’s more common sizes but sometimes if there aren’t a ton of exact comps, including size, I feel like I don’t get a very good picture. Please let me know if you have a good rule of thumb for this when there aren’t a hundred of the same item for sale. Thank you! -Terri
I've never known of buyers having access to our phone numbers. Everything should be done through ebay. This doesn't sound right to me. Is it possible you put your phone number on the return address?
Hi Cayley. My question is about cross listing. I list on Ebay and Poshmark. When an item sells on one platform I mark it Not For Sale on the other. I am able to do this manually I don't have enough items at this time for a VA. My question is does it hurt my Poshmark closet to have so many items listed as "Not for Sale" because it sold on Ebay? Should I just delete the listing? And keep the record if the sale in Sold listings Thank you for your time
I personally delete them. There's really no point of keeping the listing if it sold somewhere else. Your sold data will automatically be logged on whatever platform you sold the item on.
How do you make sure the wholesaler you work with knows what they're doing? And do you handpick every time or do you accept boxes? I've had some bad experiences with wholesalers where they would send me a box with about 50% stuff that sits, or items that are in terrible condition. So how do you check their track record before ordering?
We have an intro call before they ever start buying from us to discuss our expectations and answer any questions. We do buy calls where we can say yes or no to items.
Hi, regarding Resellers Edge, is there an amount of time I'm required to commit to? In other words, if I try it for 3 or 4 months and find that it's not for me, can I cancel my membership? Or is it a year subscription?

I am currently watching the video so you may cover it but maybe someone else can help: Goodwill- does each individual goodwill only put goods out that are donated at that store? Or does it go to a center Somewhere? I have been to more affluent area GW and haven’t seen a much better selection than others.
Ask a Goodwill employee. Cayley is right - every region is totally different. But the employees are usually more than happy to answer these types of questions. I know that in our region, the donations stay at the stores they're donated to, except for a few stores who receive low donations, and they get occasional truck deliveries from other more busy stores' overstock.
When you sent offers on eBay (I believe that they last 48 hrs?) do you change to “not for sale” on Posh, just waiting to see if they accept the offer on eBay?
As a buyer I’ve had 2 sales cancelled because of cross listing. I take those buyers right off my list of sellers. In both cases I just got a cancellation order with no explanation, no I’m sorry. Just a cancellation and a notification that it will take 4-5 days for my payment to be refunded
When you have a large inventory you can be sending upwards of 100s of offers a day so it’s not feasible to change them in other platforms to not for sale. Especially since in my experience only about 25%-30% of offers I send get accepted. That’s why I use Vendoo because the minute something sells it delists it from my other platforms so I don’t have to worry about selling it on another platform.
I have a real problem sourcing in my area. Either there are an over abundance of resellers or not many people who wear high end clothing. I have only found 3 100% sell through items in 2 years. I mostly have focused on men's clothing but recently have branched out to women's as well. I have joined several resale groups like Daily Refinement and Tech in the past and learned a lot. However, as you said, you have to have the high sell through items for the strategies to work. How would your group be able to help if I joined? Great video.
Hi! Hopefully Cayley won’t mind if I reply but I have a unique perspective because I am both one of her wholesalers and a member of Resellers Edge since Day One. In terms of the high sell rate model, I think there can be a misconception about the difference between sourcing and selling models. Cayley definitely has a high sell through sales model in that all goods are intended to sell within at least 90 days. However, after 4 hours of buy calls with Nikki this past week alone, I can safely say that she and Cayley buy a much wider variety of goods than many might think. I would describe their sourcing strategy as factor based. While a high STR is a significant factor, they look at so many other factors too. When I present an item, Nikki checks STR as a starting point but then thinks about fabric, color, seasonality, trends (does it epitomize a trending key word?), size and more. Resellers Edge has taught me a ton about all of these factors. For example, there are hours long live Zoom calls about a single trending aesthetic. As a 50+ individual, I would not be otherwise aware of Fairy Goth etc. We also talk about area specific sourcing in depth. Very few if any of the members have access to solely high STR (based on EBay stats alone) items. Ultimately, I have learned how to create a high STR store with less than high (on paper) STR items. Hope that helps!
