Easter Island's Pacific ancestors were among the best navigators on earth: birds, "underwater lightning", winds, stars, reading water were some of the many natural navigation methods. They also created beautiful maps, one of which is at the Met in NYC.

I did a project on the Palmyra Atoll for my marine science class and me and my partner found a murder case that occurred on the island where a couple killed another couple. The murderers said they felt this constant feeling of dread and anger towards each other. There was a book about it but I can't remember the name of it. It was really weird researching the atoll cause not much is known about it, but I wish I could visit there.

We met a British couple on one of the canal boats, it was pouring that day and we were getting hammered on cheap beer, listening to our boat captain’s endless ghost stories. A stray dog even joined us, we named her Fantasma. 👻 that was such a great day. 🖤

Hi. I just want to say, the list was very interesting except for Vulcan Island. I live nearby and it’s not as dangerous as you say. The lake it sits in is a tourist attraction as it’s close to Manila, our capital. In fact, we pass by it on the way to the beach, and on mist-free days, one will see the island in the middle of the lake while you sit and have coffee in any of the three Starbucks located in the area. If you want mysterious, look up Capiz and Siquijor.

Diego Garcia is a military base for Americans and the islanders were forced out from their own island. They are fighting for their right to go visit their with Britain but it’s a hard battle. There is no conspiracy over there nothing just its strategic. It’s was given in 1968 when Mauritius gained its independence. It forms part of our history.

Didn't the UK just lose a case to the UN about the Chagos island? Many countries agreed and voted, a few abstained but they are still appealing and not refusing to give it back to the islanders that were expelled? Saying its an important naval base? that case was not long ago.
