I was looking at both, but I already have a good photo printer. It takes time to switch the paper, adjust your image sizes, etc. I wanted a quick way to print some stuff, but not too worried about excellent quality (on-screen will always be better). So comparing both, the Zink prints great images, but the pics are “regular” pictures, fragile, paper images. The Instax Mini has a Polaroid-style picture result, warts and all, but it’s durable, more of a keep-sake. Handing someone a little durable memento, that can be hang, put in your fridge, written on, etc. is my goal. The Zink prints don’t have that same feel.
Thanks this comment made make up my mid for the instax wide. I want something durable even it's going to cost a little bit more, like to have the "right" feel
I agree with you.. I bought ther instax and then I found out that the kodak was better but I am satisfied... probably because I was unconsciously looking for something with a vintage style instead of something realistic. But is just my point of view
Instax is more fun to print a memory there and then. Even the lower quality makes it appealing because people don't need to be so self aware if the made a funny face or their hair was a mess. If you want quality photos for the fridge or an album. Kodak seems superior.
In India there is an issue with the kodak cartridge availability but Instax is easily available. I really liked the kodak print quality but I am very confused due to its unavailability of cartridge. Please suggest which one I should buy Kodak or mini link.
Hi. Brilliant and complete review; thank you. It will be really useful for my future shopping :-) I have a question though: have you compared the print outs of the kodak and an instant square printer ? Since the size of the photos are very similar, I was hesitating… Txs again for the great work !!
What do you think is causing paper jams and printer errors on the Kodak mini 3. Is it a bad design of the cartridges or the printer ? I'm loving the quality of the Kodak prints, but find it so frustrating that it's so unreliable.
@@IDTR Any idea of some form of compensation on the faulty cartridges from Kodak? Would be quite annoying is first print jams up and ruins the whole cartridge.
Your photos look great..mine look great on my phone but are all blurry /not sharp at all when printed. Taken on an s23. Any ideas or tips...I'm close to returning the thing
Great review keep it up! :) I was wondering on the Kodak printer i notised on my mini 2 retro that the image have lines like there is an issue with the printer. if you go really close on you print do you have the same issue?
Thaks for the video. Does any of the App support printing passport pictures? Aka, select size of passport pictures (in CM or IN) and print multiple of them if the paper can hold more than 1? Thank you.
Same here, I really liked the quality of the prints but I kept wasting cartridges because of jammed paper and cartridge errors. Very unfortunate it could've been a great product!

the kodak is NOT a Zink style printer.
The Kodak printer laminates the photos. According to marketing durable to 100 years.
I think your video quality(background,into......killing it🔥) is better than many leading youtubers.... Keep it up 👍🏻......... 🔥🤩🤯
kodak seems better but theres something about a polaroid...

Polaroid is not Fuji Instax though

This was a fantastic video with really clear information on both. Thanks for helping me make a more informed purchase
I heard this has jamming issues. Is this correct
You read about paper jam with the Kodak in Amazon customers reviews. That is a concern.
Brilliant review, just what I needed. Thank you!

Even here in the U.S., I'm having trouble finding a reliable place to buy the Kodak cartridges or even an album for 3x3 photos.
Thank you! Have you found something better than the Kodak Mini 3? Maybe Polaroid Hi-Print? are you going to review it?
Wondering the exact same question lol can’t decide between those two
It's a very nice video! I want one printer and this video shows everything I wanted to know! Thank you so much for making my choice easier!
Thanks for a very well presented review. I went for the Kodak for the photo size and running costs👍🏾

Great review! Everything I wanted to know.
I love the indepth review! When the Kodak jams, do you have to replace the whole cartridge?
I haven't been able to watch your videos as I was in hostel... Now I'm binge watching the videos... Love your contant
Great review...Just one thought on print speed...if you need to print out multiple photos, Instax Mini Link would be considerably faster...
Indeapth covering more tech areas.
Glad to see❤️
Great video. How does it compared with the Fujifilm Instax Wide?

I think it was the cartridge, one of them was faulty because the one before it and after it were fine
@@IDTR Any idea of some form of compensation on the faulty cartridges from Kodak? Would be quite annoying is first print jams up and ruins the whole cartridge.
I had the first gen and it broke down after a year of purchase. Just unreliable
Great, Thanks. The 7s sheets are compatible with Mini Link printer?.

Very straightforward, good review
Are there any portable printers that use an SD card so a point-and-shoot camera can be used?
The ones with built-in camera do have
@@IDTR Thank you. Do you know of any products that do?
Fujifilm has some, but I don't remember the models
@@IDTR Thank you very much!
Splendid.
I love the new intro 😉
Can these be used for uk driving licence and passport photos?
Thank you for this comparison. It's really well made.
do you need to but ink for the mini 3 ?
No the ink is in the cartidges
Great review, thanks !
Thank you so much for this comparison
Guys plz tell me where i can buy refills for kodak mini 3 retro in india or online plz help me
great review!👌🏼
Very good content my friend, excellent work!👍😁👏😎🙂
Excellent review.
Excellent review, very useful. Thanks for the time!
You have not taken the cartridge cost into consideration.
Skip size comparison. P300R should be compared with Square. P210R with mini link
great review, you should mention the difference of the different ways they print. Kodak uses 4pass and Instax the Zink method.
I think I did but without using technical jargons
Instax is actual film, not zink. Canon’s printers use the zink, thermal, tech.
@@scrubplay969 Not all canon printers use Zink. The Selphy range uses dye-sublimation, just like the Kodak P300R
Love this review!
SAMSUNG ONE UI 3.1 INDEPTH REVIEW PLEASE!!!!!
kodak for the win not even close
Was liking the Kodak until it jammed 😞
Same here, I really liked the quality of the prints but I kept wasting cartridges because of jammed paper and cartridge errors. Very unfortunate it could've been a great product!
I think the cartridges are the problem. Some of them are faulty or may be a design flaw
I read a review on Kodak's website. She said once she turned it to where the print came out of the top there hasn't been a jam.
There is always jam in kodak printers, they are not fixing it after all these years
@shobull8695 hi there, can you please explain what you mean?
Excellent
Handsome fellow ☺️☺️☺️
Kodak jams
👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍
Love that sexy accent 😉
