If the tail of the 8th koi slows down on the healing I would try to put new edges on the fin, just trim it back a touch, might accelerate healing or completion of the fins.
The fish either stay in my ponds or go to friend's and family's ponds. Will also sell one occasionally to get money for filter upgrades or to build new ponds
