Can the tub sit partially on the counter and partially over the sink so the drain empties into the sink ?

@1:43 mark, PLEASE HELP I can't unclip the sling! I've been scouring the Internet for 30 minutes and nobody is explaining how to remove the clip; my fingers are bleeding and I can't get those stupid yellow clips to release.
