My parents said “no” when my husband and I wanted to get married after I graduated college, and we listened to them at the time. We ended up waiting a little after college and got engaged anyways since we didn’t think my parents would ever give their “approval” since we were “too young”. My husband and I were married at 24 and 23, respectively, and have been married 2 years and are pregnant with our first child! My parents also didn’t want us to get pregnant right away, but as faithful Catholics, we are always open to life and know that it is the ultimate blessing of marriage to give life. When you have a Christ-centered marriage, it’s better to follow Him and Church teaching together as spouses than listen to other people in your life, difficult as it may be.

My husband and I got married when I was 21 and he was 23. I was still in college and working a few side jobs, he had a very low paying job. But we lived within our means and were able to save and completely erase all debts within 2 years. We now have a 2 year-old and 4 month-old, and I pray with all my heart that my deep desire to have many more children is granted by God. We have been tremendously blessed throughout our journey so far, and I will forever be grateful that God not only gave me the gift of my husband, but gave him to me so early in life. I cannot wait until we're old and can say we've been married for so many years and at the same time be surrounded by all our progeny. Thank you for reading a hormonal mother's very long and random rant. God bless!

We were married weeks after turning 22 and 23 and were open to kids immediately. We received a lot of negativity, but now have been married for 23 years with 7 kids. Wouldn't change a thing!

My husband and I both married at 20 and thankfully all of the people in our lives were supportive or pretty silent.. It shouldn't be too much of a worry if you two have truly discerned God's will for your life and your close family members are supportive. We prayed a novena to St Raphael early on in dating for our future spouse-whether or not it would be each other! One thing we realized was that God doesn't trick us, or go back on His word; we knew that if we were truly listening to His voice and not our own wills, we would not be misled. God is good✨

We got married when I was 21 and my husband was 23. We are now 24 and 26 and have 2 kids. We are SO GRATEFUL that we got married when we did and had our babies right away! (Hoping for lots more, too :) It has given us so much purpose and true fulfillment. It has caused us to mature and grow in faith a lot quicker than we would have otherwise. God provides!

I'm even scared to listen to this topic. I am behind in this topic and would like to be married by now but I'm not. It is hard to be a committed Catholic and find someone who wants to share this kind of life style.

My husband and I are older. We met in college. We broke up and then years later reunited. It's weird because even though marriage came to us later in life, I don't have any regrets because before he reentered my life I always knew it wasn't the right time or the right man. The only thing that was really difficult for us was trying to start a family. We now have a beautiful boy who came to us by way of adoption.

I was 21, my husband was 31. So I got married early and he didn't, lol. Just the way it ended up turning out.

Well done to all of you who got married so young, 20, 21.
I think that is very young to have found someone you match with. You are just getting to know yourself, and getting to know who your 'type' is. Who I liked at twenty I wouldn't give a second look at yrs later. 😆

Finally an intelligent comment on here. The frontal lobe of the human brain isn’t even fully formulated until age 23.
Getting married at this young age is seriously risky in the developmentally immature

Getting married young and having the support of family is the key to getting by these upcoming years. Get married young and bring the blessing of poverty on yourselves. Live with your in-laws if you have to, and give them the gift of grandkids. Don't waste time with college or debt or spending more than 6 months dating anyone.

People who Marry later in their life tend to be more sceptical
It's good to get married at the age of 15 or 16
Because you will take the relationship seriously and your feelings are young and tender
I don't support the widow system I mean staying single for life after your partner's death
Also the marriage will be encouraged and nurtured by the girl's parents
Also strictly as per the gospel boys have to leave their parents and go with their wife's family
Family formation needs assistance from elders, especially from the girl's side or else the boy will dominate the girl as boy's parents always support their child and marriage will be a big loss
Boys have to learn a lot on how to handle his wife as a good life partner because they just know to dominate and flirt
    It's boys habit
Women are made for men as in "1 Corinthians 11:9"
But man's only job is to take care of women and children using their mental and physical strength
Mother Mary got married at younger age
I've seen many people got married at younger age and having healthy and happy lifestyle

      Yes I'm serious
Because men and women will be more prone to infertility as they age
The duration between puberty and first pregnancy have to be shortened
This is due to high adulteration, pollution and radiation
Many women and men become infertile very soon
So early marriage is always good
