David F. Sandberg is a good director, he proved that can do more than horror flicks This is why I think he shouldn't return for the sequel and explore other genres instead Or maybe direct a sequel to "Brightburn" or something

Sometimes a director can repeat himself, or not do with the same passion, like Joss Whedon in Age of Ultron. Having a new director means having a different vision and a different approach, like the Russo Brothers with Infinity War. I like when directors venture in different genres, it is a way for them to always bring something new.
