People like myself play Boodle because of the relevance of Blackbeard and being good in matchups that aren't blue. Plus I think blockers are just more relevant in OP9.
I totally agree with you in the deck making decisions. I don’t think this is the most optimal build for Nami, but I do think there is merit in the cavendish being a 4c-6k and giving card advantage. Most of the time this card is most likely gavel targets, but into matches like Blackbeard this card is probably the key to winning. And unlike mihawk I don’t need to spend a don to get the effect so once I pay the cost and keep it on board it can be more don efficient and provide card advantage especially if it’s a rough spot. The other factor of it being a 6k body is it really helps with defense as most likely opponents want to remove the card instantly
I would give it a shot as a one of, I think most of Japan also has done away with on play searchers since teach has become the mainstay and negating on play effects. That’s probably also why the rise of boodle has come up
@@alexandrosgiannakitsidis9749 I think thats pretty spot on. Blackbeard is kinda the boogeyman for Nami in OP9 and I think that is partially because neither the Nami players or Blackbeard players have a clear cohesive route to win. Both deck's effects clash really hard and probably makes the matchup spread pretty even.

Not sure why that guys decklist wouldn’t just run the 2k mihawk instead since it’s at least not a dead card in hand vs black

Man boodle is great in this aggressive meta
boodle is much easier to play with 2 don in an aggro meta than marg. 3 for a blocker just feels too expensive most of the time
How well do you think Battle Nami could perform with the new cavendish?
