Quick Update: We have now found that more of our previous videos have been deleted forever, videos they were never a part of. These were videos that this channel had on it for years and now we cannot get them back... We will keep you updated as this develops. We thank you for the support in advance.

Sorry to hear, that always sucks to have happen. I work in cyber security - Always be diligent about rotating passwords, especially when there is employee turnover (insider threat is real) and always check logged in devices and clear that every so often. Also require multi factor authentication to get in so if this was to happen where someone had the password on a new device, they would need a second means of verification.
While it sucks, you live and learn. You gotta be careful who has access to your content and need to make sure youre disabling accounts and changing passwords any time someone leaves the company

Omg, so sorry to hear about your company/site. I have never seen this before but I feel for you. Good luck going forward. I am going to try to keep up with you on yt. I am 71years young and always interested in auto/trucks of all kinds. My husband was a mechanic.

despite the drive being deleted, you MAY be able to recover the data/files from the drive.

i guess you already texted youtube about this, but in some cases they are able to restore the videos, because they are saved in theire cloud for quite a while after they get deleted. I would love to see the old videos come back

i do miss the old style videos you guys would post in the old shop they made me feel like i was right along for the build , i used to check yt everyday to see if you posted, i still go back and watch them from time to time for as the f450 build is my favorite build. the new style videos just didnt feel like i was invested in the build of the vehicles so i honestly would lose interest and stop watching. hope yall really get back towards the old style.

@thelabct If you still have the hard drives, SD cards where they were stored or filmed on the can be recovered even if it has been overwritten in the past. Nothing is actually deleted or written over when it comes to hard drives or SD cards unless you do specific things to delete the bits that can be used to re-create the data which the average and most advanced person knows nothing about.

So sorry for the bad news! Karma will take care of them! Don’t worry.
The fact you also PAID 2 full salaries to make that content, and they deleted the footage you PAID for, in a way it's like vandalism, or setting a car on fire or something. It's not theirs, it was paid for. The best thing you could do is press charges and have them pay you back every penny you paid for that content creation. But then again, best burn that bridge, forgive and never forget, move on to new beginnings, new strategies, new content, new discoveries, new safety and security, and make sure s**t like this doesn't happen again. You're a good man Gio, you got this nevertheless.

If you allow this to go without consequences, you foster future hacks. The internal threat is your biggest threat and I recommend you invest in an internal threat program to improve your security posture. What if said employees stole other information pertaining to employees, payroll, customers, etc? Go after them which doesn’t mean you have to share what you are doing with us. This happens to lots of other companies, you’re not alone, just be aware, and don’t lower your guard down for anyone. This is very common, just for all the people out there, to let you know. This is basically a daily basis of what owning a business company is like. Not everyday but it does happen occasionally sadly.

Not an easy process... however, you may want to attempt in getting in touch with RUclips Support process. As they have proven with similar action of mass deletes of videos... there may be a way for them to restore your channel to what it was to a "snapshot view" in the past! Good luck! Yea!
