There is absolutely no question, without a shadow of a doubt I would invest my money in the Honda! The Honda will be of proven quality and reliability, with spare parts availability and warranty coverage a given. Likewise, depreciation is a factor, and although the Honda costs more initially, the owner is buying in to a world class manufacturer with an established reputation for quality, reliability and warranty. I do not have confidence in Chinese built motorcycles, whereas I have full confidence in Japanese manufactured ones! As a former motorcycle mechanic and workshop owner, I liked the quality and reliability of Japanese motorcycles, they built their reputation over many decades of refinement and upgrades. I do have full confidence in the quality of electronic devices, tablets, smartphones, etc from China, just not their vehicles.
I completely appreciate your concerns and thoughts but I think that whilst Chinese bikes still have a reputation, that the reputation isn't fair against every brand of bike that's built in China! There was once a time where people sneered at the Japanese bikes instead.... Now look how things have changed! I do agree though that the resale price of this versus a Honda is likely to be not as strong
Thanks for the kind words - I wear the original Revit Poseidon goretex jacket and trousers, originally purchased from Get Geared but I believe other shops stock them too
Thanks for the kind words. I'm not sure if you will or won't but fingers crossed 🤞 the wet weight is just over 200kg and it certainly doesn't feel heavy. I currently have a 2022 Honda CB500X on test and the Voge doesn't feel significantly heavier
@@louvega8414 it's not that heavy when you consider the CB500X I have is 199kg! It's pretty close in real world terms... With cheap bikes making them lightweight isn't as much of a consideration as making them cost less so steel everything is the order of the day
@@ILikeMotorbikes I absolutely love it 🤘🤘 it's power to weight ratio makes it super nippy and it just falls into the corners. Dunno how far you are from Kent though as I'd say have a blast on mine

I like seeing efforts we will not see here in the states. Let's face it China is where Japan was years ago in quality manufacturing . If they learn from Japan they will improve quickly! Cheers.
Totally agree! It's a shame you don't get everything in the states but I expect there's a combination of reasons for it. We're behind the times with some bikes that you get like the GPX moto for example I can totally see them out performing Japan in years to come
Thanks Ed! Great question, I think short term the Voge offers a brilliant package for the price but it's the longevity that concerns me. I'm not saying the Voge won't be able to cope with the British weather but in my limited experience, Chinese bikes don't wear it well. Give it 6-12 months and we'll know for sure. For £1000+ saving you make it represents a lot of miles and adventures...
@ShroomSparklesProd I don't personally own the bike so can't say but I haven't heard any negative reports thus far on the Voge brand as a whole. Its definitely a budget brand but I think they offer a great option
@@ILikeMotorbikes Thx for the reply, I'm currently on the fence about this. Almost left the dealership with one of these today, but later found out theres now pretty much the same price for a Honda CB500X. Also didn't exactly have 500cc in mind at the start of the day, but was on the lookout for a 700/750. Like a Honda NC750X or Transalp XL700V aaaaand tempted by a Ducati Multistrada 1200.. Theres just to much options ;p
I didn't have a long enough ride to test it myself. It gets a claimed 80mpg which even if it isn't accurate, means you'll still be getting great economy! You should easily see 250-300miles per tank
Just seen this video. Price now 5499. I was going to buy one of the Voge however a dealer that's not fussed , and has to be serviced every 3000 miles. I'll stick with the Honda cb500x.
I don't mind a cheap bike. But I mind a dishonest one. Now... the question is is this bike dishonest or not? All the features that doesn't come in other brand bikes come with this bike - usb port, adjustable windshield, tire pressure monitors, tft screen, crashbar, usd fork, adjustable levers etc --- I want to know where it cut the corners to be able to sell at the price it is selling for.
The easy answer I think is production in China (which is the cheapest place) and I imagine not being an established brand means they are happy to make less of a profit margin than the bigger manufacturers like Honda etc. That's my guess anyway as I don't we'll find out for sure
It's Loncin (the manufacturer behind Voge) that make the engines for BMW. I can't find any reports of them doing work for Honda so it's safe to guess they don't make any engines got them... Yet
Would you buy one instead of a Honda CB500x?
Yes over cb 500 or NC 750X

I didn't test the top speed but yes easily gets up to 70mph with plenty of revs left in top gear so 90mph+ would be achievable I'm sure
