Haven't ever seen any interviews of Vaani before. Surprised to see how well-articulate and thoughtful she is while speaking. Hope she gets better films in the future!
I saw the movie 3-4 times just for Vaani. Her performance had an honesty, that was most beautiful to watch. She made you believe that she’s Maanvi and we are watching her story unfold. She had a certain pain in her eyes. All the best Vaani and continue doing such wonderful roles.

Vaani proved her worth as an actress in 'Shuddh Desi Romance'. It is really sad that post that film she didn't get the films she deserved. Now, with 'Chandigarh Kare Ashiqui', she has shown the courage to do taboo roles. Let's hope, Bollywood takes notice of this girl blessed with beauty n talent n currently the most gorgeous actress.
I agree she held her own in shudh desi romance against Sushant and parineeti chopra in her debut movie was impressive . Hope she get performance oriented roles which she seems better doing than commercial movies

I loved her in her debut movie as she held her own in the presence of Parieeti chopra and Sushant but was followed by forgettable roles in commercial movies . I hope CKA does wonders for her career

sometimes ppl laud ppl like alia for their great choices and criticise ppl like vaani for doing just a song or two in a big movie ...but humans there is something called destiny ...not everyone has a handful of great films to choose from ...try to understand from a different point of view ....ppl say hardwork and talent which is no doubt essential but you cant deny destiny or luck .....there is a reason why some of the greatest potential actors couldnot show their potential on screen or may be couldnot even get an audience ..its not that simple

I saw befikre few days ago, and I liked her in that, and the movie also very nice. I can see she is very talented and very natural. And after watching this interview, i love her, she is so honest and real, which is so rare in Bollywood. I hope she will be big star in future. I love watching Bollywood, it's nice to see big star who is talented, real, honest and smart too, and also very humble. I become new fan of vaani❤️

I remember watching War and there was that one scene with Hrithik by the river where she tells him that not everyone wants to save the country, she literally stole the scene ..and that is saying something especially when u have an actor like Hrithik Roshan in the frame.. and i thought to myself that damn she is such a good actress and deserves better. So happy to see her being acknowledged for her work.

Only scope of improvement could've been better dialogues. Not that the dialogues are bad, but there definitely is scope of noticeable improvement. Amazing direction, awesome screenplay. Apart from this, no stone left unturned really.
The Indian audience though, is ridiculous. I could very well hear laughs at times when there should've been sense of disgust from their side, like when they were trynna disrespect Maanvi.
So glad something like this is bought up in 2021, I wish the earning numbers also increase somehow.

It worked because of Asyushmann and Vaani. She's really underrated as her role could have easily become too melodramatic or underwhelming. Kudos to her for taking on such a challenging role and playing it with aplomb.

I reckon it's an absolute shame that the Khurrana bloke keeps getting the spotlight when he is, in essence, playing himself (yet again) while Vaani has the far tougher role.

After watching Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, I think she could easily play a bisexual woman in another film to explore the topic of bisexuality within the sexuality spectrum. We've had films explore gay sexuality between two women or two men, but Bollywood has yet to make a film about a bisexual woman & a bisexual man in the same or separate films. Her acting in Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui was amazing, she played her part really well. I think it was the best performance of her career till now & she truly needed a film like it to showcase her acting skills. Now I never saw her debut film but I saw her in Befikre & WAR so I'm saying in comparison to those two, this has a more of a focus on her character
This actress took a big a risk by playing transgender role, in future she will get many great characters 2 perform all the best 😍🔥🔥

Her biggest career mistake was getting her face botched up. She was so pretty as is and then the work she got done was horrendous. Befikre was a torture as it is but it pained me more to see her face. Good for her (and us) that she has tried to revert to her before face.
She didn't revert. When you get your bones reshaped, there is a lot of swelling that takes 1-2 years to go down. In before, her jaw had all that swelling
@@BrokeGirlFinance I don't know how exactly it works but in Befikre she looked so weird. Especially whatever she got done to remove her natural dimpled chin. Her chin was extending like Pinocchio's nose. Wonder how the makers of the film didn't have a problem unless of course the changes were recommended by them.
@@TheStardust2011 yup so her mandible ( chin bone) was basically shaved down to reshape into the chin she has now. But the thing is that with a surgery like that, the swelling remains for 1-2 years. And the shape of your face looks very different during that swelling phase. But, agreed I was surprised the filmmakers were okay with it. This could have actually contributed to film not doing so well just because it was very awkward to watch the film during those close ups ( normally, I wouldn't comment on someone's looks like this, but this was her choice)

I loved Befikre & I still Befikre. I think it was maybe a little ahead of its time but it's actually good film. People might think there's not enough of a story to it but it's a funny rom com & the music is iconic. Befikre might not have worked as a film by the masses but everyone still loves Nashe Si Chadh Gayi for example. So it still lives on in that way bc the music video is so good & people love to choreograph to that song & dance to it. The whole album has other good songs like Ude Dil Befikre & Je T'aime

So being interviewed by Anupama is a big deal and a big step in an actors career especially a less established actor. That's why is normal for her to be nervous

I have seen certain interviews of Vaani. She behaves in a very reasonable and polite manner. She has potential and an intelligent filmmaker can bring out so much from her but unfortunately this woman is enslaved by a despicable monster in Bollywood, a very powerful Bollywood person (almost like a mafia lord). Hence, I feel very sad for her current state.
Shudh desi is the only work I have seen her, but she made quite an impression there. She outshone Parineeti. I even wanted her character to end up with SSR. It is telling coz we dont see Parineeti anymore, but she is still here.
Vani you looked like you stepped out of a beauty salon for every scene of the movie . There was no effort to show one struggle in terms of looking like woman when a man becomes a woman and things they have to do to maintain it. What is point of scratching the surface with such an unrealistic representation. No surgery can make a man look like Vani ( not one scar despite vani showing so much skin in the movie). These surgeries are so expensive and complex and hard to do in a country like India. There is no discussion that this person cannot have kids cause isn't that the point of contention in our Indian society so yes it was a great subject that dealt on the surface to keep the glamour intact :(. Normalcy would have been if Manu loved Manvi even with her imperfections and scars.

They are behaving as if Chandigarh kare Aashiqui is a big hit..it has collected just 20 cr in one week...audiences of south and Mumbai hardly know about this movie
It's the story that matters. Not everything is measured in terms of numbers my dear. It's unfortunate that numbers are low, but movie is pretty good.
The movie is good and she really chose well and played it well. Box office is not the barometer of good art.
While glamorous parts and acting aren’t mutually exclusive, the parts written with glamour in mind barely have any layers in Hindi cinema

I think our Indian actor and actress should give interview in hindi it's not Hollywood it's bollywood and most of their fans know hindi and they can connect with majority of their fans and viewer and subscribers of this RUclips channel will increase more
Actually the vast majority of Bollywood audience is not Hindi-speaking. You have all India, plus the whole world. And it's really nice that there is a lot of interviews in English, it allows us the non-Indians to also connect with these actors, to know them more.
