Not directly related but watching gameplay of this just reminds me how decimated this games potential was by zoning. I can't understand what the developers were thinking would happen with the tools half the cast had to keep the enemy full screen

It doesn't seem like his combos are that difficult either, it's just the setups.
Cold is a character that you need at least a few backup strategies to your original that can still be modified in order to play. It sounds harder than it is, but it's just adjusting/innovating. Be quick and know your opposing character's strengths at at least a base level.
this is an old comment but Captain Cold was a low tier trap character that bascially only SFox knew how to utilized properly then they nerfed Cold shortly after and he basically got no play afterwards(Fox got whooped most games he tried to play against an actual character). He gets stomped by characters who outzone him because his traps mean nothing he only beatdown rushdown characters that had no way of getting around his puddle which they heavily nerfed the time it stays on the ground. If you ever played CC enough you would know how hard it is to actually pull off effective gameplan other than his easy corner combos.
Well if they put a cooldown or the fighting term recovery in the projectiles this game would be the best game.. instead we see this excuse of a game poison ivy vs cc only using 3 moves... How awesome was that corner combo Sonic did to Ivy.. this game should be focused so players would go for that no pew pew lasers and bullets only ffs
Bruh tbh he only looks good because of his opponents are at a disadvantage. He’s doing mediocre combos and his opponents are not neutral heavy, making their move sets completely useless. he’s pretty good with CC ig, but to a mediocre player he looks like a beast
