  • VisualSynth, an uninspiring name for a fun music tech project. This is functional beta, has a few kinks to be ironed out, but an overall stable release. Try it out for yourself!
    Download the code here:
    github.com/Thrifleganger/Visu...
Follow the instructions in the readme, it should get you sorted.

This is possibly the best thing I have ever seen. Okay maybe not ever, but I cried a little--that's how great it is. I am not kidding, I literally cried because of how great it is.

You're joking! 😅 what did you find interesting about it? It's an old unfinished project..

The project itself is interesting for a few reason. It was clearly, at least for me, made with care. Two, the sounds it plays sound good even when played in a youtube video, given that youtube probably lowers sound quality of videos. But that's just the project itself. Something that's also interesting is what led you to come up with this idea. I've also not seen anything like it before and so I'm sure that made it even more interesting. I'm also a music geek and so I'm sure that had something to do with the emotional attachment to it. Even if we disregard everything else, you clearly put care into making it. I'm sure you were being humble, but no I'm wasn't joking. I think it's a really good application/project. @@akashmurthy

@@cantus_firmus Thanks for much for breaking it down for me. I'm sorry, didn't mean to discount your enthusiasm about it. Yea, it was done as a proof of concept. I was learning SuperCollider and Processing at the time, and I wanted to put my skills to the test. It was a great learning experience for me. I later tried to move this to the web, but there were tons of problems and I had to rewrite the whole thing with P5.js and Tone.js. Tone.js is pretty bad at scheduling, so it was never good at precise timing. But it still exists, if you want to go check it out :)

All good. Would have said the same thing. From your videos on DSP I can tell you are a good person... I try to be a good person too so I would have said the same thing. Also people rarely have strong enthusiasm about other people's projects. I was actually worried you would thing that my comment was a troll. Lastly, I didn't elaborate my first comment because the video is from a few years back...@@akashmurthy

Really loved the green theremin type one! Great fun especially if you applied some scalar restrictions. Good work mate
