You should be doubting the album coming soon if at all. The bandmates themselves have been saying a new album is coming out this year since 2013 and have been HEAVILY saying that shit since 2015.
I had a dream a few nights ago that it was a triple album. I waited in a line-up outside of the record store for hours and hours so I could buy it day one. Bought it. Got back in my truck. Put the disc in and... ... I woke up. MAD. The anger stayed with me for hours. My disappointment was immeasurable and my day was ruined.
What times we're in. Ten, fifteen, thirty, a hundred years ago, who saw us being where we are now on so many levels? I sincerely hope that there's a new generation of people out there that will get their first exposure to Tool when they hear this new album. I hope that it does for them what Lateralus did for me when I was younger, looking for what I didn't know I was looking for until it found me. I hope it inspires a new wave of people to think, create, love, and to seek connection with something that is truly relevant, and to at least sort out what leads to real fulfillment and what does not. The time of this album's nonexistence has almost come to an end. May it influence unity and help to bridge the ever-increasing precipice that's filled with all of our nitpicky, trivial, fake bullshit that we don't seem to ever realize we don't need until it's too late. Don't know about anyone else, but I am way ready for a soundtrack worthy of this new chapter that we'll all hopefully be starting soon.
It comes at a time when cannabis is much, much more available and accepted in its use. We'd be lying to ourselves if we said that wasn't expanding consciousness, as people have that option over booze. Gen X and younger are all so awake to what's going on in the world, and are some of the most conscious-living people that this country has seen. That's a great arena for a new Tool album to come in, like a guest speaker in that narrative of waking up. That will reinvigorate a whole new generation of Tool fans, as you said. It's all expanding consciousness. We're all growing, together, even if feels like a schism.
I couldn't agree with you more my friend. My Awakening came with AEnema. Then, I found my soul's song in Sober. For 20 years I thought Sober was about me. I only just learned about a year ago that it's not about me as I am, it's how everyone around me views me. In reality, I am the complete opposite in every shape and form. Only myself and the 3 people that I love and care for most in this cold cruel world know the real truth. Everyone else sees what they only want to see. They only see right in front of their faces, just like most of the rest of the world. Only the very few that actually have been awakened know that feeling, be completely open to everything around them, and see people in the world for what truly lies there. I'm just a Shepherd sitting on the hill watching the sheep graze and run around like the stupidity that is man. I am so very happy that today's generation will be able to experience Tool in all of their eye opening, new experience finding Glory. Because seriously, the newer generation seems to be completely blind and oblivious to everything in this world. The only things they understand is what their smartphone tells them.

Thirteen years ago I won 10,000 Days from a radio station. The whole concept of a radio call-in contest would likely be lost on a anyone born since then.
They still do it at that station I listen to, which oddly gets listeners all over the states and not just from their broadcast area. Since they get listeners from all over, some contest require you to go up to the station to pick the prize up, while others will be a download code or link to allow the farther listeners to participate.

We won't need to wait until August for at least some new content. There will no doubt be new concert videos posted in the coming weeks as the tour kicks off. Especially that first one being in Chicago!! There's a high probability of new songs being played so we should have a few new live riffs and tracks to suckle on until the actual album release 👍🤗
They play in Florida in a couple days which is the rockville tag in Adams video, I'm guessing (and hoping since I'll be there) they will play some new stuff then.

A Lot of us would trade around cds to listen to. I popped in TOOL upon a classmate’s recommendation; Lateralus and it warped my senses. Ever since then I’ve been a fan and consumed all things TOOL. I can’t believe it’s been 13 years.

At time of writing there is no music but both have dedicated bios and tour info.

trance dj I hope you’re right... But to be the devil’s advocate, it does seem like it’s going to be a little later. Just a gut feeling. They’re probably gonna do one more tour playing a song or two that’s off the album. Maybe release a single with a music video & then later release the album
