One and only the dancing empress Vijaythimala! I just can't take my eyes from her. What a beauty with tall and slim frame, fast and swift movements it's all wow wow! Vijaythimala is not only good in classical but equally good in folks and western dance. Another all person who excels in whatever she do and put others behind was the late mdm Jayalaitha! Infact she knows all types dancing from classical to western. Both Vijaythimala and Jayalaitha dance with grace, speed and effortlessly . Compare padmini, her sister ragini got the speed and grace. But people don't remember her bcos she was not top heroine. Watch Ragini's dance in MGR's movies Rani Samuktha and Vikramavitten .
Still rocking the dance and song , No one can beat still the Indian cinema Super dooper hit in Tamil , when hear the song in Hindi version it's ok. But orginal version Tamil still Thunder.
One of the things nobody knew about this original dance in Tamizh movie was revealed by Padmini in an interview.....there was no choreographer for this dance sequence.....the original choreographer was down with illness and the dance movements of padmini was choreographed by Vyjsyanthimala and vice-versa......and Vazhuvoor Ramayya Pillai was so confident of these two that he refused to see the sequence in advance and said he would prefer to watch the film in the theatre......and out of reverence for the choreographer the two asked the producer not to put their name as choreographers of this dance sequence.
I feel like their expressions and lip syncing in tamil version are more graceful. The way they lip sync every word and their expressions for each and every word in the lyrics are like a delight to eyes. Do try to watch the Tamil version of this song once.

Great performances by both the legends, however I feel Padmini did a better performance, was it because she got better dance steps and the costume was better too. What say??
It's because she's the one to begin. And her character was written to be more positive and Vaij was more competitive. So Vaij was just trying to get attention in this scene whereas Padmini was just enjoying the music and dancing.
Song is not sounding same like Tamil.. but both the actresses looks very beautiful in eastern colour film.. I guess the singers voice not very carnatic
