The thing is we can measure the total volume of personnel involved in the military per country, but measuring the efficiency of said militaries is a whole new ball game.
The reason why the U.S. had a small army till WW1 was because till then the U.S. Didn't really have a standing Army Untill WW1 it was made up of Militias mostly. That were just called up to fight when needed.
More fun fact: Indian Army is the LARGEST Army in the world. This video was not displaying Army sizes. It was displaying the size of Army+AirForce+Navy. If we go solely by the sizes of land forces a.k.a. "Army", Indian Army is larger than the Chinese Army (PLA GF).
where did u hear this? and we asked for the americans to come. we needed their help but sadly their liberal media made it out to be bad. they were helping until hippy make us under communists. luckily i live not in vietnam anymore so i wont be killed for saying that. fuck my home country
I have a few video suggestions, that you should really check out. Although, I’m not sure if you take requests from your comments, or if it is only through like channel members, or something else. I apologize if I overstepped here. I digress, the videos I think you should check out is “WW1 from American Perspective”, by Armchair Historian, it is really good. The other one is “The American Wars Everyone Just Kinda Forgot About” by the Alternate History Hub. Cody usually does alternate history stuff, as his channel name suggests, but he made that video for Memorial Day.
america did have men under arms, but at the time of both wars, america was trying to be an isolist nation. i cant remember y we got invovled in ww1 but ww2 was because of pearl harbor to get us to go to war. so it makes sense that america isnt on the list early on. we join both wars late into the war for both.
America got involved because we were trading with both sides during ww1 and Germany decided to sink the Lusitania? Unsure of the spelling. Which was technically a cruise/passenger ship that had Americans on it.(Though suspected to be carrying supplies for Allies)
@@PaveHawkUSAF89 it was carrying war supplies and america joined because Germany was scared america was going to join and asked mexico to attack america but British intercepted the transmission showed it and usa declared war
Vietnam have around 5 million army reserved cause we have a conscript army and that not include the militia which i think there around few hundred thousand

Shame your webcam covered the year.
That's how our military was supposed to be. We were never intended to have a large standing military.
5:39 UK having such a number of troops is because of them recruiting Indians to fight their Wars
Uk wasn't recruiting indian troops at that time .
Indians fought during 1st and 2nd ww , but they were still very less than the British ones.
Next time, do Largest Airforces by total planes :) you’ll be pleasantly surprised 😁😁😁

Very interesting video! Unfortunate there wasn’t really any place to put your portrait.

The Qing Dynasty is old china and it’s pronounced ching Dynasty
Qing Dynasty is the last dynasty of ancient China . There have a lot of dynasty of but the strongest dynasty is Qin , Han and Tang and Ming dynasty .
I think India have much much more reserve personale than china which overpass china easily...Correct me if I am wronf😊
Serbia at one point had nearly 350k people armed in WW1

Astro-Hungarian Monarch was the largest power in Central Europe
India 🇮🇳 has largest volunteer army in the world 🌍..
Can you please do another MrBallen episode?
1914 has Austria Ungarn 10 mil solider
The chart is wrong tho India has the biggest army in size. Us has the strongest.
Something like this reaction now and then could be nice.🤓
ETHIOPIA THE ONLY AFRICAN NATION wtf***********
If you count Active + Reserve the India has the largest army in the world more than China….. these are just active personnel counts
These bar graph videos without sources and arbitrary numbers mean nothing.
It's odd that India doesn't have a larger military considering their population
Theyre still a third world country thats why
Most of their population has trouble with toilets still (they have ad campaigns for this) unfortunately.
Because INDIA 🇮🇳 has volunteer army, unlike most countries on the list.
