just googled cause idk what a rope drop is lmao he means these two should be the two you try to go for if you come in as the park is opening, to try and avoid lines😂
Yes, for rope drop. Rope drop means to get there when the park opens. So he's telling you to do these two rides at rope drop before the line gets long. Because the other rides have shorter lines, it's not worth running to them at rope drop. You can get on them easily even when it's busy.
Would definitely recommend cheetah hunt, gwazi, or cobras curse. They consistently have insanely high wait times and are all super fun rides. Only downside to rope dropping cobras is you might miss the cool exposition video, but that video hasn't been running lately anyway.
Hi! Platinum pass holder here. Cheetah hunt should be the one you rope drop most of the time, it’s the most popular at the park. Iron Gwazi runs better and faster during the day when it warms up so I wouldn’t do it first thing. Sheikra is one I would suggest trying as a rope drop at least once, when you hang over the edge you get that feeling of ‘oh… I’m actually on a roller coaster!’
Born and raised in Tampa Florida, been coming to Busch Gardens my entire life. I love roller coasters! But I'll never ride Iron Gwazi again, I thought I was gonna die 🤣
Also a Tampa native born and raised I concur that feeling of knowing your appointment with the lord is next during that drop. But I’ll be going again. Bih you know you felt so proud of yourself when you looked back at that coaster! 😂😂😂
Not a native, but been here 40 of my 54 years. Long enough to remember when the AB brewery was still part of the park (where Gwazi is now). My first “adult” coaster rides were on Python and Scorpion. I rode Gwazi back when it was all wood and it damn near broke my spine. 😂
For all my visits, gwazi was not open at ropedrop. That’s why I always play it safe and ride cheetah hunt first, since that maintains a 90 minute wait for pretty much the entire day
Surprised you didnt cover how amazing the animal exhibits were back in the 90s when Jack Hannah was based there. I remember watching old VHS tapes about the nursery there.
Problem is that these rides open at 10:30 and 11. Gives people enough time to head to the middle and back of the park to experience these rides. Plus, why would you waste 30 minutes when you could rope drop cheetah hunt instead
If you choose to not go to Cheetah Hunt first during immediate rope drop, don’t try to queue for it until mid-afternoon, as Cheetah Hunt gets the longest queues in the morning
@@MarbleCarnivalDude it really depends on the day. The times I’ve gone, through most of the day it had atleast a 75 minute wait after 10:30 and maintained that until like 5 pm. I do remember that CH can have like a 30 minute wait mid day but like I said, all depends on the day
My recommendation is to go on a weekday during non peak season if you can. I went on a Tuesday in September and every ride was a walk on. I went on Iron Gwazi three times in a row and didn't even have to leave my seat!
If you go only once I’d agree with you. But there’s something special about front-rowing shiekra as your first ride. When you’re hanging over the edge you realize that you’re at a theme park doing roller coasters and it’s quite a shock!
Just so you know sheikra Is very dependent on how busy it is if it's like medium crowds it's usually short wait time. But when it's busy sheikra gets insane lines especially when it's gonna close for fire works
Cheetah Hunt is perfect rope drop, you can go straight to Montu, Cobra’s Curse, Kumba and Falcon’s Fury from there, then slowly make your way around the park. If it’s not a busy summer day, you can get almost everything besides Gwazi done by 12-1PM!
It actually kind of depends on the days. Sundays the lines are shorter than on other days and most rides have long lines but if cheetah hunt has both trains open and shieKra also has both trains open then it will go a bit faster. Kumba is rough and not my personal favorite but has a short line and Montu is really nice but it also depends on the days bc sometimes the lines are short but other days it is really long.
Cheetah Hunt or Cobra are the best starting coasters, gets you warmed up for more coasters and aren’t to intense, so if you decide you don’t want to ride anymore it’s no problem
Went here yesterday and atleast from my experience the order to do it at rope drop would be: Cheetah Hunt (always do cheetah hunt as it’s instantly long line), cobras curse (cause it’s right next to cheetah hunt and also gets longer but if timed right is basically walk on), iron gwazi (held a pretty reasonable line throughout the early part of the day and is so worth a wait if it gets one (unlike cobras curse or cheetah at 90 minutes))
It was a 2 hour wait when I went but I had fast pass and it was a walk on with it 😂 I rode it like 10 times and didn’t wait once. Rode the same ride 5 times before I got on with one family that was complaining about me skipping lines. I SPENT 100 DOLLARS LEMME SKIP
