Thanks for the video. I am a complete beginner but your video help me migrate my website from local to liver server without any issues. Thanlk you again. Keep up the good work!
You can try this possible solutions out 1. check the php version of your live website make sure is from version 8.0 above 2. un install all plugins by going to file manager > wp-content > plugins > rename the plugin folder to something like this plugins-old or open the plugins folder and rename the individual plugins to deactivate them individually. 3. un install your current theme by renaming it and wordpress default theme will be automatically activated. if non of this works out let me know
After a lot of failed attempts, this video helped me install word press correctly. But have no idea and what to do, No discussion on how to change anything......
Great video!...I'm a beginner, I also want to move my localhost wordpress to live server but have never use Cpanel and I don't have a domain. Can I still go ahead with your steps in this video? or Should I just sign up on Cpanel first?
you need to, first of all, buy a domain and a host, you can use this namecheap hosting link namecheap.pxf.io/X6dBX to buy a domain as low as $6.98 and also a an affordable hosting plan
thanks for the help everything worked out fine, but when i wanted to change some text on the website it said it's unable to publish the changes (using elementor i recieved error #500), do you know how to fix this please?
Sometimes when creating your website, your localhost URL may also get stored in the database in a variety of places, which could cause broken links on your web server. There are two methods to resolve this problem, either by Using an SQL query (advanced) or the Use of a plugin. i advice you make use of a plugin called Better Search Replace you can get it here wordpress.org/plugins/better-search-replace/ there are other reason that can lead to elementor error 500 such as 1. Not enough memory allocated to your website: you can increase your website memory 512MB from your cpanel php ini 2. conflicting plugin: you can check this by deactivating all other plugins except the elementor plugin and see if you still get the error If after doing this your problem is not solved let me know
Great video. I followed your process my site home page is load but the images and content of placement is totally meshed up and when I click any other link its show the pages is not found error 404 also in wp admin and wp dashboard and I can’t access to it. So can I solve this error please helps me in this situation.
simply go to you site settings under permalinks dont change any settings just click on update and if you have a cache plugin clear it after the permalink update then check the other links that were showing error its should start loading properly
if i want to use the older live server database...do i still need to create/upload a new database?..i only need to change the new personalized template and to keep my old products from the live website
no in that case you dont need to create or upload a new database, if your website is designed with elementor page builder you simply export your personalized template design from your local server and import it to your live server
@@thecreativarena my new template is a professional emplate that i bought on envato...it uses Elementor. thank you..i will try to upload it like you say
let me get something straight have you customized the theme in question in your local host? if yes on your local server goto elementor >> tools >> Import / Export Kit >> Export and follow the straight forward steps and download the exported zip file then in your live server goto elementor >> tools >> Import / Export Kit >> under the Import you import the downloaded file from your local server in the step above this should workout well for you
yeah the steps is the same as this, however what you need to do is to upload your website files from the localhost direct to the folder created on your file manager for the sub domain instead of the public_html folder that is in your file manager you will see a folder created automatically for the sub domain you added on your cpanel e.g web.yoursite.com. open that folder and upload your backup files from your local host and unzip them in the folder just like in the tutorial. Then connect the database as shown in this video. if you need further help please feel free to let me know
Live servers are paid services. So long as you want your website to be online for everyone everywhere to see it and also have a custom domain you have to spend some money to achieve that. You can try out some cheap and good hosting companies such this namecheap.pxf.io/X6dBX
I managed to follow all the steps but at the end when i change my localhost address to the domain host i see an error message “internal error:mysql_ exception:Access Denied for user @ localhost any help
You Missed a step you need to first check the database username password make sure its the correct then make sure you give the add the database user to the database and give it all rights
