  • Mercy Care Uganda Medical Ministry is a registered Community Based Organization (CBO) in Uganda. We are building a medical clinic in Bujja close to Masaka, Uganda. This village is very poor and in dire of a medical clinic that is easily accessible and affordable to people in this village. Our clinic will serve at least 5 villages. Health promotion and prevention, medical treatment, water and sanitation, malaria prevention, maternal and infant care are what we are planning. We will be working with the Village Health Team (VHT) and village Traditional Birthing Assistants (TBA) and government agencies. To make an impact you need to work with others for the benefit of the ones you are serving.
We are working with the village council and people who live in the village to get community involvement.
Healthcare is a human right and not always accessible to people who live in the village. There are still needless deaths due to higher costs of private clinics, transportation issues, lack of medications at some government hospitals. We plan on changing that in this village. Giving better health to children so they will not miss so much school, better health to parents so they can work and better health to grandparents so they can better take care of grandchildren whose parents have died.
