One of my all time favourite videos - could watch this one hundred times over and not get sick of it. Your dad reminds me of a gun bream fisherman I used to fish with more than twenty years ago on the upper Scamander River in Tasmania. He's since passed away. He didn't talk much. There was a shared understanding amongst us and no need for too many words while we fished from his beat up tinnie. We caught many thumping great bream fishing lightly weighted live crabs (a deadly bait for big bream). Your dad seems to bring all those memories back, Scotty. You can tell him a big thanks for that.
Frank I make shore he reads your comment and thanks more to come soon with Dad at Cronulla, Drummer session soon. Thanks for tuning in mate and thanks again for your feed back my Dad he will love it.

G'day Scotty. I was just wondering if you could tell me how many wraps both yours and your fathers rods are. They look to be 4 wraps due to their soft slow movement. However, I could be wrong... I love seeing these videos with you and your father in them. Keep up the great work. Cheers.
You make it look easy Scott, I tried this spot today - just before sunrise to about 9.30 am which was high tide . No interest other than a few scrappers, lost a big of gear also so had to rerig a few times - and my spinning reel got wet with the waves a few times ......AAArgh! I am guessing that's why you use an Alvey Reel in these situations? Should I possibly have used a small float for the locations where I was getting snagged? I'm getting better at catching the nippers though! ;)
Side cast mate great reels for the rocks & Beach bullet proof. Thanks for tuning in and your feed back, New clips every Friday on The Hook and The Cook ruclips.net/user/TheHookandTheCook Please subscribe to our channel and share with your mates, Thanks Regards Scotty & Paul

Enjoyed this also i know a few avley buffs that would go mad for the wooden one hell even bruce himself would love it i miss mine sadly it sits unused till i can order a new spool for it if you ever need a part alvey.com.au/spare-parts/ just find what reel it matches and call them. It was bruce that informed me that the side lock on the reel bent outwards now it locks back perfectly.

they are Alvey side cast reels bloody bomb proof and dead simple even if they are a workout with the 1:1 ratio.
think ya needed the cook on this one champ no salad or flavours just a deep fried fish! good effort though
Yes my cooking skills are limited, but this is the best way to cook whole fish, well I like it. Thaniks for tuning in.
Regards Scotty & Paul
