Upon his arrival to Italy, Como 1907’s American-Italian forward Nicholas Gioacchini wasted no time getting reacquainted with his Italian roots. The new signing paid a visit to a local restaurant in Cernobbio known as ‘Terzo Crotto’ and learned how to cook two traditional Lombardian dishes: ‘Sciatt’ (Buckwheat Cheese Fritters) and ‘Risotto alla Milanese con Ossobuco’ (Milanese Risotto with Braised Veal).
