Martin Schröder (Trompete) und Hans-André Stamm (Orgel) spielen Cebell, Air & Fanfare (Trumpet Tune) von Henry Purcell (1656-1695). Aufgenommen im Konzert am 20. September 2015 mit der Le Royer Orgel von 1662 in der Sint-Pieterskerk in Turnhout, Belgien. Die Stimmung der Orgel ist bei A=409 Hz, die Selmer Piccolotrompete wurde mittels einer Verlängerung ebenfalls tiefer eingestimmt.

Organist, Mr Eschrich, played this at my wedding recessional as I walked down the aisle so fittingly proud with my new young bride. I have a photo seeing my expression of pride. Such a fond memory. Thank You!
"my new young bride" that sounds weird and wrong to me, no offense. It just reminds me of those ads from save the children where they show a girl that got married at 12, never got to finish/start school, and now has a kid. Also the "new" makes me think that this wasn't the first. Again sorry and I don't mean to offend, just voicing my thoughts.

Good taste! Please have it played like this and not the way it usually is played...joyfully! This arrangement is more difficult ....love it. That's how I play it and the couple will feel that they really are celebrating something! special

With our last name of Purcell, all of our girls had this played as their wedding processional. The addition of the trumpet with the organ just makes it so much richer!
But it wasn't composed by Purcell.

This was the first piece I performed publicly when I was about 12 years old. There is nothing like the trumpet and organ together and the Laukhuff instrument in the hands of Richard S. Hartman at Delbarton Abbey in Morristown, New Jersey did a fine job of accompaniment. The lower tuned instrument and piccolo trumpet in this performance were outstanding! Thanks!

Beautiful and marvelous to hear this baroque composition! There is never any doubt in my mind when I view the names of Stamm and Schroder accompanying a posted performance on here that I will hear exquisite performances by both! The organ is naturally a critical part of this performance as well.

This is Henry Purcell’s Trumpet Tune not Jeremiah Clarke’s Trumpet Voluntary. Clarke’s (aka The Prince of Denmark’s March) is my favorite piece of music, but this performance of Purcell is outstanding.

Music for weddings and graduations.My late spouse and I chose music by Purcell for our wedding.
45 years ago we also chose Purcell....problem was that our guests did not understand or know when to stand when meine Frau walked down the isle!! Still blessed us nonetheless!!

Tried to play this on my regular trumpet when I was growing up more difficult than it sounds piccolo trumpets spectacular wish I had that as well

“The famous Trumpet Tune in D (also incorrectly attributed to Purcell) was taken from the semi-opera The Island Princess (1699), which was a joint musical production of Clarke and Daniel Purcell (Henry Purcell's younger brother or cousin)-probably leading to the confusion.”
@@frankenwald42 No, it's saying that the Trumpet Tune in D - just as was the case with The Prince of Denmark's March - was originally attributed to Purcell but is actually by Clarke.

I had access to a piccolo trumpet when I was growing up as I was first year solo in band and orchestra but it never could figure out how to transpose the piccolo trumpet into a regular b flat trumpet. Always thought it would be nice to play with the organ without having to transpose from us standard model 37
