Vic Dicara is so underrated, he is my guru.
As he said "Guru is someone you learn from"

I'm so lucky to find these amazing teachers. When I wanted to understand Nakshatras, my search led straight to Vic DiCara. I don't know how that happens, but I'm fortunate that way. This is how I find my way through knowledge. Never would I have guessed that my quest would lead to Vedic Astrology and try to learn it, and Sanskrit? But here I am. I'm a Capricorn Asc. and also not easily impressed, but I am impressed and learning so much.

Beautiful point Vic, tradition for the performance of rituals comes from the word "ritu" and so it repeats every year, that is why it is a social form of practicing Shashtra, that is the closest it can get and like you rightly said "Yada Yada hi dharmasya .....", this need arises from Krishana is because from the time when the practice to socialize shastras in the form of rituals and now, they have been extremely distorted and that is why the Vedic content is almost absent in them.
Thanks to you both Vic and Dr Arjun Pai, for the intellectual perspectives on Jyotisha

Thank you for this lesson and discussion. Thanks to KRS who led me to Ernst Wilhelm, who let me to Dr. Arjun Pai and Ryan Kurczak. I found Vic DiCara all on my own, because when you search for Nakshatras, he's the Guru that appears. I've bought some of the books, and I will need years. Now my other interests, law, politics, the news, art, work, social life, etc., gets in the way of my studies lol. Thank you.

I love this bit about the idea of how you can be self-taught- or actually that maybe we should see guru's more broadly. It reminds me of an english translation of a Srimad Bhagavatha Purana my dad once read me- I don't know how accurate the translation is- but its about an aescetic who is asked who is your guru. He gives many answers- he names how he learnt detachment from two lovebirds- the female bird died- and he names many others. I think this is another translation of the story www.speakingtree.in/blog/twenty-four-gurus-from-the-srimad-bhagavatam

Thanks for this amazing post! @VicDiCarasAstrology has a way of putting thing so they are easily understandable - definitely qualifies to be a Guru. His understanding of vedic culture has me thinking what/who a foreigner is - and what being Indian means...

I hope to hug you some day Vic... I have Uttara Ashada Asc. Jupiter in 6th & moon in 5th in one way of calculating but I have a new reading from you that shifts that a bit in Bhavas & Rashis but my Nakshatras stay the same...interesting to connect with a myriad of perceptions.... I started with Joni Patry, then spent time learning from Sam Geppi and find myself comfortable with you in a way that hasn’t been present elsewhere... To See a Truth that resonates with conflict is part of this life’s journey... Krittika serves me well... in so many ways

Thank you Arjun pai and Vic di cara for sharing knowledge. I think it's better to share what are the right concepts around each nakshatra than to talk about misconceptions. This video gave what is wrong today which we already know the Vedic knowledge is messed up and misinterpreted. We don't need scholars and masters like you & Vic to let us know that it's messed up. Instead Tell us what is right about the nakshatras and how to use them to get back in alignment with vedas to grow with peace and harmony. It's disappointing that there was very little pointers in this video about what is right.

Demistifying indeed... I agree with the entire your-own-skin method of approaching knowledge, as well as discerment ability being grounded in keeping yourself in check each step of the way, responsibly embodying the devotion as an intrinsic breathing kit for being in search of understanding💜
& I personaly really do admire Vic's abrasively sobering manner of clarifying things
    and taking-no-bs attitude.
    I find it quite inspiring.
    Many Thanks
    to both of You

I'm not too sure this may interest someone (about the Guru / non Guru for Vic).
In my research into the 72 names of God relatively to the Kabbala I see Vic was born in the days of the 'witches'. The philology of this word tells about someone that was born already with knowledge so he doesn't really need to learn but only to recall what's already in him.
I see Vic going within while sharing information without and this makes me link the 2 things.
I also have the thought that there must be some connection between the 72 names of God and the 27 Nakshatras. I've had this though while listening to Dr. Pai talking about Vishaka Nakshatra (I have Sun in there, pada 1 / Tropical measurement).
Your description, Dr. Pai, overlays the description of the Cabalistic name of God Ariy'el (8 to 12th of november) in the way I got to learn about in my research.
thank you Vic and Dr. Pai for sharing this with us.
