Hello friend, does this bike have factory bearings on the crankshaft? I have a gsxr 1100w here in Brazil and it has bushings and it broke and I can't find the parts anymore.
Hi I’ve got a 88 slingshot she’s pretty much a standard bike , bike runs well , I’ve had it for over 7 yrs and obviously a bike of that age see the garage from time too time , it had a intermittent miss fire , and due to this it’s been 75% rewired and the cards have been rebuilt parts from Japan. I could have got the bits from China but well enough said there , anyway I’m not saying I’ve got the nicest slingy but it’s a used bike not a shed bound bike and does get a lot of ppl asking about, BUT I mentioned a miss fire and after no less then 5/6 ppl looking over it and lots of money spent I finally sorted it and it was the stand every time I went over a bump it (shotguned) missed and did for years I very nearly sold it for 2000£ because of this and all those top bike mechanics......... well I’m a happy man now she pulled in all gears HARD But I want to put upside down folks on it and have it sprayed and rebuild the engine it’s covered over 45k now If your interested I’ll pay well pls contact me , Rob 07918727933 pls it seems like your the man for the job 👍🏼

Did you end up finding where the missing bolt went?
Guys, why did the Japanese make a crankshaft on bearings instead of the usual plain bearing on liners, like all other motors?
In my opinion much more durable!

sorry its a late reply - dont install your head and barrels untill the bottom end is in the frame - lighter and more clearance
best with no glue ,, so bearings dont spin

DISORDERLY PUNK at 36:06 you can see properly all the cooling fins of the GS-1150, the GSX-R don’t have those on the base.
